After 14 years since his solo debut, SHINee’s Taemin has finally revealed the official fan club name for his individual activities!
What exactly is it and what is the significance behind it?
Following his departure from SM Entertainment in order to focus on his individual pursuits, the idol announced his new beginning under BPM Entertainment by revealing his solo fandom name!
On May 8, the social media platforms dedicated to Taemin’s activities announced that recruitment for the first fan club members will begin on May 13 and end on June 2.
As stated on the idol’s official website, the fans of the global star will be referred to as “TAEMate,”a combination of his name, “TAEMIN,”and the word “MATE,”which signifies “close friends.”
This indicates that the idol will treat both TAEMates and his closest and dearest friends.
It is anticipated that this will be included as one of his monikers for fans, like “Jjakkoong”(buddy) and Taemints (their previous nickname).
Following this announcement, the agency Big Planet Made Entertainment stated:
“Please look forward to the future time Taemin will spend with Taemin’s best friend, TAEMmate, who always gives Taemin lots of love and support.”

Upon discovering the fandom name and its details, SHINee World/Shawols (SHINee fandom) were moved to see that Taemin had made sure to include himself as a member of the group, even though he is also a soloist.
From the colors displayed on the poster, it is evident that the design was created using a combination of yellow (Taemin’s official color) and pearl aqua green, which is also the official color of SHINee.
The pansy flower is believed to be the inspiration for the logo, holding significant meaning for both Taemin and his fandom. Taemin has previously expressed that the flower represents the message, “remember me,”a sentiment he wishes to convey to his devoted fans who eagerly await his return.

Lee Taemin, who gained immense popularity among K-pop enthusiasts globally, solidified his reputation when he made his debut as SHINee’s main dancer and youngest member in 2008. Alongside his fellow groupmates, Onew, Jonghyun, Key, and Minho, the five members dazzled with their chart-topping songs such as “Replay,””Sherlock,””Lucifer,””Dream Girl,””Don’t Call Me,”and many others.
Ever since then, he has become an irreplaceable dancer and is known as the “Ace of K-pop”and the “Idol of Idols,”especially since he began his solo career in 2014. During this time, he popularized numerous dance crazes, including “Move,””Danger,””WANT,””Criminal,”and “Guilty.”
Despite spending 16 years under SM Entertainment, he decided to leave the label and has since signed an exclusive contract with Big Planet Made Entertainment. This marks a new chapter in his career as he embarks on a solo journey. However, he will still be promoting with SHINee as a group under SM Entertainment.
