Minho has been chosen as one of the IOC (International Olympic Committee) “Olympic™ friends”and will be attending the 33rd Paris Olympics on July 26th (local time). He will be present at multiple competitions, engaging with the audience and showing his full support for the Korean athletes.
Minho was the inaugural selection for the “Olympic™ friend”program, created by the IOC to empower well-known individuals to promote the principles of the Olympics, rather than just athletes. Prior to this, Minho proudly served as a torchbearer in Chuncheon for the “2024 Gangwon Winter Youth Olympic Games”and participated in a range of initiatives, including producing content that showcased his first-hand experience with luge.
During the “Girls Play 2!”public diplomacy campaign event in November 2017, Minho delivered a message expressing his hopes for the success of the “2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics”. This further highlighted his strong connection with the Olympics. As he participates in the 33rd Paris Olympics, it is anticipated that he will attract considerable attention.
At the same time, Minho has been confirmed to play the role of Nam Tae-pyung in JTBC’s upcoming drama “Romance in the House”. The drama is scheduled to air every Saturday and Sunday starting on August 10th at 10:30 PM. He has also been chosen to play the character of Val in the play “Waiting for Godot”, his first theater performance since his debut. The play will open on September 7th at Yes24 Stage 3.
