Shinso and Monoma to Appear in New My Hero Academia Movie?— Fans Excited by New Illustrations

The main cast and a few supporting characters of the recently announced My Hero Academia fourth movie, titled My Hero Academia: You’re Next, were featured in a special illustration released on December 13, 2023.

Subsequently, the primary antagonist and the general chronology of the film have been disclosed. Studio Bones is currently animating the movie, which is scheduled to be released on August 2, 2024, in Japanese cinemas.

New My Hero Academia 4th Movie Illustration: Monoma and Shinso Confirmed!

Despite being comparable only to One Piece in terms of its large cast of characters, My Hero Academia has primarily focused on its main characters, Izuku and Bakugo, in its three movies and numerous other related media.

Despite all the promotions for the fourth My Hero Academia movie featuring Izuku and the new villain, recent illustrations have shown that it will not solely focus on Izuku. Along with him, Bakugo, Todoroki, Kirishima, Monoma, and Shinso were depicted wearing traditional Japanese clothing.

The release of this illustration not only increased the hype surrounding the highly anticipated fourth movie, but it also sparked speculation among fans that Monoma and Shinso would play significant roles in the movie’s plot.

Additionally, fans have begun to speculate that the studio may be attempting to increase the importance of Monoma and Shinso, as they are set to play significant roles in the upcoming arcs of the anime.

Fan Reactions to the New Illustrations

The recent illustrations for the fourth My Hero Academia movie, featuring characters such as Shinso and Monoma, have sparked lively discussions among fans, who are also comparing the distinct art styles of Bakugo and Izuku.

“Shinsou and Monoma gonna be involved!? Hype!,”a fan wrote.

As previously mentioned, speculations among fans suggest that the studio may be shifting their focus to Monoma and Shinso, as they are expected to play significant roles in the upcoming arcs of the anime.

“They’re really pushing Monoma & Shinso more in these promotional visuals. Definitely is cause of their increase of relevance in the upcoming war,”one fan said.

Despite being relatively irrelevant characters throughout the entire series and its various movies, Monoma and Shinso have recently begun to gain more significance. Therefore, many fans were surprised to see them included in the fourth My Hero Academia movie.

“Wait Monoma and SHINSOU are gonna be involved,”another fan said.

This opportunity also allowed another fan to point out the scarcity of official art featuring Monoma. The inclusion of Monoma in official art was undoubtedly a delight for all of his fans.

Despite being relegated to the sidelines in the actual show, Monoma and Shinso are finally receiving the recognition they deserve, as one fan pointed out.

“WE’RE FINALLY GETTING LOVE FOR SHINSOU,”another fan wrote.

The release date for the fourth My Hero Academia movie is currently set for August 2, 2024, exclusively in Japanese theaters. While there is no information on an international release date yet, it is anticipated that it will be disclosed in the near future due to the immense fan base of the franchise.
