Shock Over “Jessi Fan Assault” Koala and Past Murder Conviction Allegations

On October 24th, a YouTuber took to their channel’s community section to announce, “I’m uncovering the murder conviction connected to the individual known as Huh Jae-won (Koala).”

The YouTuber elaborated, “Here we are again, our ‘hip-hop warrior’ born in 1988, Huh Jae-won, is likely sitting back thinking, ‘Now that Jessi has apologized, everything will settle down,’ while he remains silent and his Instagram is deactivated. Therefore, today, I will disclose Huh Jae-won’s murder conviction.”

According to the YouTuber, who is presumed to be producer Koala, Huh Jae-won (also known as Jeff Huh, who was only 17 back then) attacked a 17-year-old Korean male student with a blunt object on December 30, 2005, in Hawaiian Gardens. Tragically, the victim succumbed to his injuries on January 2, 2006.

The YouTuber asserted that Huh Jae-won was deported to Korea after the incident and subsequently established a music label with friends from the Korean diaspora. He has since built a career as a rapper and producer under the moniker “Koala,” managing his own business in the industry.

Moreover, the YouTuber claimed that in the early hours of September 29, 2024, in Apgujeong, Huh Jae-won, alongside a member of the Wah Ching triad, assaulted a minor Korean citizen. They highlighted the grave nature of this incident, indicating that this minor’s life was at grave risk of being taken, thus stressing the importance of public awareness regarding the situation.

Additionally, the YouTuber tagged Dingo’s account, urgently requesting, “Please take down the video featuring the murderer Huh Jae-won from the ‘df’ channel.”

Although the YouTuber’s assertions remain unverified, the fallout from these allegations led to a previously public live video of Koala on the YouTube channel “df,” uploaded in September of last year, being made private. This video included Koala performing the track “RSVP,” which featured Jessi.
