The Season of the Infernal Hordes in Diablo 4 brings a thrilling new plot that sets the stage for the highly anticipated Vessel of Hatred DLC. As with previous seasons, players will have the choice to start fresh with a new character, allowing them to either bypass the main campaign or fully immerse themselves in the story of Diablo 4 from its beginning.

Should You Skip the Campaign in Diablo 4?
Although it ultimately comes down to your personal preference, opting out of the main campaign in Diablo 4’s Season of the Infernal Hordes allows you to immediately embark on this season’s adventure. Just remember that the plot includes many spoilers, as it continues from the climactic events of the base campaign.
By opting to forgo the main campaign, you will have immediate access to endgame content, such as the Tree of Whispers and World Bosses.
However, for those who are new to the game or have chosen a class they are unfamiliar with for their seasonal character, going through the main campaign provides a more seamless initiation into Diablo 4’s gameplay. This method enables a deeper comprehension of character building, facilitating a smoother transition to endgame content.
How to Skip Campaign in Diablo 4
- In the main menu, choose the “Create new character” option.
- Please choose the class in which you would like to participate for this season.
- Choose and personalize your character’s physical appearance.
- Look for Gameplay Options and select “Skip Campaign.”
- Press “Start Game.”
- Choose the Seasonal Realm to embark on the journey for the current season.
- Choose your preferred Difficulty level.
In order to access Season 5, you will be required to create a brand new seasonal character. While doing so, you have the option to select Hardcore mode for permadeath, and you can also choose to enable the Skip Campaign option to immediately enter the open world.
Check the Skip Campaign option to start playing the Season 5 storyline.
Afterwards, you will have the option to choose between the Eternal Realm and the Seasonal Realm. If your focus is solely on completing the main campaign, then the Eternal Realm is the appropriate choice. However, if you wish to fully immerse yourself in all the fresh content of the current season, then selecting the Seasonal Realm is recommended.
Once you have completed the previous step, you will have the option to select your World Tier (Difficulty Setting). This setting can be modified at a later time either on the Character Select Screen or at the World Tier Statue located in Kyovashad. It is important to note that if you are playing with others, all members of your group must be on the same World Tier.
