Shroud already convinced Valve’s Deadlock is going to “take over the world”

While Deadlock, Valve’s highly-anticipated new game, was recently announced, shroud is already convinced that it will be the next major game in the industry and has the potential to dominate in the coming years.

In May 2024, a small group of chosen content creators were granted early access to a new game developed by Valve. Unfortunately, some individuals were unable to keep the information confidential and leaked details about the game, which was later revealed to the public as Deadlock.

Deadlock, a game that had already amassed tens of thousands of players before even revealing its name, remained shrouded in mystery until August 23. While Valve did eventually acknowledge its existence with a subtle update to the game’s Steam page, they have yet to actively promote it. As of now, only a limited number of players have access to the game’s early access version.

Shroud wasted no time in jumping into the action as soon as the opportunity presented itself. Having already put in over twelve hours of gameplay, the ex-Counter-Strike player has already formed his opinion. He is filled with excitement and confidence for Deadlock’s potential, firmly believing it will be the next game to take the gaming world by storm.

“During his first session with the game, he confidently stated, “This game will definitely dominate when it’s released. It’s the first MOBA arena shooter that is truly exceptional, unlike the other ones that are not as great.”

Upon returning the following afternoon, the former professional gamer now turned streamer elaborated further. Although he did have a few initial complaints, particularly regarding Deadlock’s performance at the start, shroud’s overall feedback was positive.

“Indeed, this game is poised to dominate the world,”he reiterated. “I have never seen so many mechanics in a third-person shooter. It’s absolutely insane. I doubt even 1,000 hours would suffice to fully grasp the game.”

Despite the extensive roster on the first day and the variety of unique builds, traversal mechanics, and aiming skills, Valve’s new game offers a lot to master. For shroud, this will be the key factor in ensuring its long-term success.

Despite the fact that it is still very early in the development process, Deadlock has already caught the attention of many. With shroud estimating a full release in two years, some content creators have already dedicated over a hundred hours to the game through early access. It is evident that thousands more are eagerly anticipating the chance to join in and do the same.
