“Shut The F*ck Up”, GOT7’s BamBam Responds to Accusations of Sexualizing Minors

In a recent incident, both GOT7’s BamBam and NCT’s Jeno gained attention for appearing half-naked during their respective concerts. However, a netizen’s post comparing the two and claiming that “Jeno did it better”caused backlash from GOT7 fans, who called out the netizen for their statement.

The individual, who has since removed their posts, then proceeded to defame BamBam, going as far as accusing the male idol of “sexualizing minors”.

Typically, this type of slander would simply lead to disagreements among fans. However, on this occasion, BamBam took direct action and replied, “Why don’t you shut the f*ck up?”in response.

The accusation of “sexualizing minors”most likely stems from an episode of BamBam’s YouTube show “Bam’s House”in February 2023, where he revealed that he was a fan of aespa’s Winter and NewJeans’ Haerin.

Towards the end of the video, BamBam was presented with a choice between Transit Love’s Nayeon and NewJeans’ Haerin. He initially selected Haerin, but then quickly changed his mind, realizing that the female idol was “too young”for him.

Despite Haerin being only 16 years old at the time, BamBam’s comments about her sparked controversy among netizens. While some found the male idol’s affection for Haerin to be “inappropriate”, others came to his defense, stating that the translations were inaccurate and that BamBam never made any inappropriate remarks about the younger idol.

Following the controversy, BamBam personally addressed the issue and urged fans not to believe a 10-second video. It appears that the male idol has been frustrated with the constant accusation of “sexualizing minors”, which ultimately led to his strong and fiery response.

Conversely, the netizen who made the accusation against BamBam has had their account suspended.
