British content creator Ethan Payne, known as a YouTuber, is providing regular updates to his followers following a severe asthma attack that landed him in the hospital and was deemed “life-threatening.”

On April 22, Monday, popular YouTuber Ethan Payne was admitted to the hospital due to a serious asthma attack.

On Wednesday, April 24, he shared the exact details of his condition and a play-by-play of his time in the hospital on his Instagram stories and through a post on X, calling the incident a “life-threatening”health issue that left him “pretty shaken up.”

“He explained that he had never been fully informed of the severity of his asthma, but he expressed gratitude towards the kind individuals at the hospital who greatly aided in his recovery. He was initially admitted and then transferred to the resuscitation unit before finally being moved to the respiratory ward, where he is now on the road to recovery.”

The content creator also mentioned that he has been placed on a “completely new regimen”to manage his asthma going forward and is optimistic about making a strong return in the near future.

After that, he proceeded to post a collection of self-portraits depicting the various stages of his treatment, featuring him donning an oxygen mask and a hospital gown. In his first photo, Payne mentioned that he had a close encounter with death, while in the second photo, he stated that he believed it was the end for him.

Currently, he is in a hospital five hours away from home, recovering from Phase Five of his treatment. He expresses gratitude for feeling more positive and being alive. However, he also feels guilty for putting his fiancée Faith, their daughter Olive, and everyone else involved through this difficult time.

Payne has been open about his asthma for a while now, particularly discussing the occasion when he experienced an asthma attack while attending one of KSI’s boxing matches. He described the sensation as feeling like someone was “constantly pushing on his chest.”

“During an episode of the ‘What’s Good’ Podcast, he explained that he was unable to catch his breath.”
