Exploring the Eternal Realm in Diablo 4 may lead to the forfeiture of one of Season 5’s reserved Resplendent Sparks.
The ongoing Diablo 4 Season 5 has players fully immersed in defeating the armies of hell and reducing them to a pulp. This season introduces the infamous Infernal Hordes, which have been met with great enthusiasm from players, causing them to disregard the Artificer’s Pit altogether.
In addition to Season 5, players in Sanctuary can now experience Hellbreach Dungeons and the recently enhanced Mythic Uniques. These highly coveted items have replaced Ubers as the essential gear, but crafting them requires obtaining incredibly rare Resplendent Sparks.
A Diablo 4 player, known as Reddit user Thorvasc1, learned the unfortunate lesson that one of the limited Resplendent Sparks in Season 5 can be lost easily. They discovered that defeating Uber Lilith in the Eternal Realm before the Seasonal Realm would prevent them from obtaining a Spark for defeating her.
Don’t make the same mistake I did and kill Uber Lilith in the eternal realm before the seasonal. byu/Thorvasc1 indiablo4
To provide some background, defeating Uber Lilith is one of the limited ways to obtain a guaranteed Resplendent Spark. This is no simple task, as it is the ultimate challenge in the game. However, the payoff is well worth it, as Resplendent Sparks enable the creation of Diablo 4 Season 5’s powerful Mythic Uniques.
Regrettably, the player had to issue a PSA to the game’s community. They advised, “Do not repeat my mistake of defeating Uber Lilith in the Eternal Realm before the Seasonal.”
By doing so, they were rewarded a Resplendent Spark in the Eternal Realm; however, they did not receive one in the Seasonal Realm. This situation is most likely a bug, as other players have also reported the same issue.
Despite my belief that playing in Eternal is foolish, it should not have functioned in that way,”one user explained. “Seasonal and Eternal are distinct, therefore rewards should also be distinct.”
At the recommendation of others, Thorvasc1 filed a ticket with Blizzard support, who verified that the rewards for Uber Lilith were not functioning as intended. They also mentioned that a solution was currently being developed.
It is advisable to refrain from defeating Uber Lilith in the Eternal Realm during Diablo 4 Season 5 until an official announcement is made regarding the bug fix. If you do defeat her, you may have to endure a difficult grind to obtain a replacement for her Resplendent Spark.
