Fiddling around in Diablo 4’s Eternal Realm could potentially result in the forfeiture of one of the guaranteed Resplendent Sparks for Season 5.
With Diablo 4 Season 5 in full swing, players are currently occupied with obliterating the armies of hell to a pulp. This season has introduced the formidable Infernal Hordes, which have been highly praised and have caused players to disregard the Artificer’s Pit completely.
Season 5 introduces Hellbreach Dungeons and enhanced Mythic Uniques for the inhabitants of Sanctuary. These Mythic items have now become the highly coveted replacements for Ubers, and obtaining them will require the use of extremely scarce Resplendent Sparks for crafting.
During Season 5, a Diablo 4 player, Reddit user Thorvasc1, learned the consequences of not properly obtaining a Resplendent Spark. It was discovered that defeating Uber Lilith in the Eternal Realm before the Seasonal Realm would result in not receiving the Spark upon her death in the Seasonal Realm.
Don’t make the same mistake I did and kill Uber Lilith in the eternal realm before the seasonal. byu/Thorvasc1 indiablo4
To provide context, one of the limited methods to obtain a guaranteed Resplendent Spark is by triumphing over Uber Lilith. This is a formidable task, being the ultimate challenge in the game. However, the payoff is well worth it as Resplendent Sparks enable the crafting of Mythic Uniques for Diablo 4’s fifth season.
Regrettably, this player had to issue a small PSA to the game’s community. “I urge you not to repeat my mistake of defeating Uber Lilith in the Eternal Realm before the Seasonal,”they warned.
Their actions were rewarded with a Resplendent Spark in the Eternal Realm, but they did not receive a Spark when attempting the same in the Seasonal Realm. This situation is most likely a bug, as other players have also reported experiencing the same issue.
“Although I believe playing in Eternal is foolish, it was not fair for it to function in that way,”one user explained. “Seasonal and Eternal should be treated as separate entities, so rewards should be kept separate as well.”
Upon the insistence of others, Thorvasc1 filed a ticket with Blizzard support. The response from the support team confirmed that the rewards for Uber Lilith were not functioning as intended. Additionally, they mentioned that a solution was currently being developed.
Until there is an official announcement about the bug fix, it is advisable to avoid defeating Uber Lilith in the Eternal Realm during Diablo 4 Season 5. If you do, it could result in a difficult grind to replace her Resplendent Spark.
