The highly anticipated trailer for Sinners has finally been unveiled, offering fans their first glimpse into this enigmatic vampire horror film directed by Ryan Coogler, renowned for his work on Black Panther.
Sinners marks Coogler’s return to the director’s chair for the first time since the release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in 2022, and it also represents his fifth collaboration with Michael B. Jordan.
The announcement of their partnership for this project came in early January 2024, but details remained closely guarded until the title was disclosed on Monday, September 23.
The official trailer for Sinners debuted on September 24, showcasing the horror film in all its chilling and bloody brilliance.
Alongside Jordan, the film features an impressive cast that includes Hailee Steinfeld (Hawkeye), Jack O’Connell (Skins), Wunmi Mosaku (Lovecraft Country), Omar Benson Miller (8 Mile), and many more.
Sinners is based on an original script by Coogler, who is producing the film through his production company Proximity Media, co-owned with his wife, Zinzi, and partner, Sev Ohanian.
This film continues Coogler’s trend of featuring Jordan in leading roles, as the duo has collaborated on every film Coogler has directed, ranging from Fruitvale Station in 2013 to Creed in 2015, as well as both Black Panther movies.
Fans have shown immense excitement for this new supernatural horror film since the trailer’s release. One user on X/Twitter remarked, “I love it when a trailer shows me absolutely nothing but draws me in. We will be there.”
Another user commented, “Ryan Coogler’s SINNERS already looks like it’s going to be THE vampire film of the decade.”
A third fan expressed, “Going to lose my mind if people don’t go out and see an original horror film written and directed by one of our most talented directors working today. This looks incredible. In Coogler we trust.”
Sinners is set to premiere in theaters on March 7, 2025.
