Skull and Bones, Ubisoft’s new open-world action-adventure RPG, releases on February 16 and will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Amazon Luna. But will this game offer crossplay on all platforms?
Skull and Bones has been in the works for a long time, seven years to be exact. Ubisoft’s piracy-themed RPG is set to have players explore the Indian Ocean. Embarking on a quest for infamy and riches during the golden age of piracy.
With three ship types, each fully customizable, and full control over naval combat, players will be able to tailor their gaming experience to their individual preferences.
Its open-world design means there will be plenty of archipelagos and islands to explore. Plus, with the wild Indian Ocean as the setting, the visuals promise to be a treat. Players will be able to explore the game alone or in groups of three players.
Ubisoft designed both PvE encounters, as well as PvP battles against other real players. The latter should be a central point of the gameplay. But with the game releasing on virtually every platform except Nintendo Switch, the question on most gamers’ minds is: will there be crossplay?
So here’s everything we know.
Skull and Bones propose-t-il du crossplay?
Skull and Bones will have full crossplay on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and even Amazon Luna.
This feature will also be available from the official launch of the game. So, if you are eager to sail the high seas with your friends, then it will be possible to invite them, regardless of the platform they are playing on, from day one.
Additionally, players will be able to host sessions of up to 20 players, with full crossplay functionality across all platforms in every session. The more, the merrier, right?
