Legendary heavy metal band Slayer has teamed up with Coney Island Saucery to introduce the ‘Raining Blood’ hot sauce, designed for those daring enough to handle the heat.
On September 19, Slayer showcased the sauce in an Instagram post, highlighting its name, which pays homage to their iconic 1986 anthem from the landmark album Reign in Blood.
“With a heat level of ‘Complete Brutality,’ this sauce is only for the BRAVE. It’s perfect for adding a kick to pizza, wings, tacos, and more,” the band proclaimed.
This release marks another exciting collaboration for Coney Island Saucery, which has previously teamed up with popular Canadian TV series Trailer Park Boys and the video game Fallout to create the Vault-Tec Industries Hot Sauce.
“This fiery sauce lives up to its fierce name, featuring a blend of some of the hottest peppers worldwide, guaranteed to deliver a fiery rush to your taste buds,” the company described their latest creation.
“The explosive heat of ‘Raining Blood’ will guide you on a headbanging journey of extreme spiciness, leaving even the most daring heat aficionados gasping for respite. Just like Slayer’s relentless and intense music, this hot sauce delivers a punishing blow, positioning it as a must-have for thrill-seeking chili aficionados and metal fans alike.”
For over 30 years, Slayer has held the title of one of the biggest metal bands globally and is hailed as one of the “big four” alongside Metallica, Anthrax, and Megadeth for their significant influence in the heavy metal scene.
The band had initially retired in 2019, showing no signs of a comeback post their farewell tour; however, they surprised fans earlier this year by announcing a series of shows set for 2024, including performances at Riot Fest, Louder Than Life, and Aftershock.
‘Raining Blood’ will start shipping in late October and is priced at $12 USD, allowing fans to place their pre-orders now, bracing for the exciting flavor experience ahead.
