Smartschoolboy9 Lookalikes Appear as Schools Warn of Strangers in Uniforms and Wigs

As Halloween draws near, reports have surfaced of alleged “copycats”of smartschoolboy9 lurking outside schools, with one individual even approaching a child.

Over a month ago, Nick Crowley’s mini-documentary on this unsettling case gained widespread attention, leading to a surge of new members in its subreddit, all eager to uncover the true identity of smartschoolboy9.

While it is believed that his name is David London, this may just be an alias, especially since he is also linked to the name David Alter. Although there is much speculation surrounding his identity, this is certain: he is an adult male who donned school uniforms and shared disturbing content on Instagram before his account was ultimately removed.

A few weeks following the release of the eerie YouTube documentary, online “fan art” depicting smartschoolboy9 began to appear, with some individuals even proposing Halloween costume ideas inspired by the alleged predator.

According to a report by LincsOnline, it seems there may be individuals attempting to mimic this behavior in the UK and frighten children.

Two separate incidents were reported last week in Grantham and Sleaford. One student from Priory Ruskin Academy was “approached by an unknown individual with a blond fringe and glasses, dressed in the school’s uniform,” the outlet noted, while another man was spotted in a school uniform with a wig outside of Priory Ruskin Academy.

The first individual reportedly offered to escort the Priory Ruskin student home, according to a letter sent to parents. “We encourage parents and guardians to speak to their child about this and to remind them of safety precautions,” it further advised.

Although not confirmed, many have linked these incidents to the smartschoolboy9 situation. “I don’t believe this is the real deal, but it looks like he’s potentially inspired a copycat or copycats, similar to the 2016 clown sightings,” speculated one Reddit user here.

“Kids or 19-year-olds memeing. Or possibly a copycat perv, but probably just the first scenario,” another individual commented, while a third remarked: “There will definitely be people dressing up as him for Halloween, which could end badly for some.”
