In Elden Ring, the Tarnished have a wide variety of weapons to choose from. Each weapon has its own unique style, as well as its own set of strengths and weaknesses. One advantage of fist-weapons is their ability to deal rapid damage through multiple attacks when spammed.
The Erdtree expansion introduced the Golem Fist, a powerful fist-type weapon. This sought-after weapon is highly coveted as a drop from fist golems, making the effort to obtain it well worth the grind.
1. Obtaining the Golem Fist in Elden Ring
The Golem Fist, like other rare drops, cannot be guaranteed and must be sought out. Upon defeating a golem, it is up to the randomizer to determine if you have obtained it through luck.
Therefore, in order to obtain the desired drop (in this case, the Golem Fist), we must find a cluster of the drop monsters and farm them. The most effective location for farming the Golem Fist is Taylew’s Ruined Forge.
If you have reached the stage of searching for the Golem’s Fist within Elden Ring’s Shadow Domain, chances are you are not a beginner player. This indicates that you may have already come across the Ruined Forger while embarking on expeditions as a Tarnished.
How to get to the Taylew’s Ruined Forge?
There are two available routes to reach Taylew’s Ruined Forge-
- Through the Ancient Ruins Base Site of Grace
- From the Moorth Ruins
2.1 Route From The Ancient Ruins Base
To reach the Ancient Ruins Base Site of Grace, teleport to the location and proceed in the northeast direction. Follow the road and be aware that there may be some enemies along the path, such as Feathered Beast-Men and human soldiers.
To reach the end of the trail, either ignore or defeat any obstacles in your way. Once you reach the very end, you will come across an ancient structure surrounded by towering pillars and lit torches, creating an archway of sorts. Enter through the archway and continue inward to finally reach Taylew’s Ruined Forge.
2.2 Route From the Moorth Ruins
To reach the Moorth Suins Site of Grace, use the teleport option. Keep in mind that this route is longer than the previous one. Make your way to the north-eastern area of the Moorth Ruins, which is where you will find a large underground tunnel. It should be easy to identify.
Continue down the tunnel until you reach the end. From there, follow the path it leads to until you come across a second tunnel. Then, make your way northeast into the jungle region. Keep heading north until you eventually come across the Ruined Forge.
Finding Golem Smiths in ELden Ring DLC
Enter the ruins of Taylew’s Forge and make your way through the underground tunnels. Keep following the path ahead and cross over the rubble of a collapsed pillar to reach a higher level of the Forge.
Once you reach the top, your first pair of golems will come into view. When facing golem pairs, a helpful strategy is to lure both of them and move out of their attack range (which only requires a few steps). This will cause the golems to fight each other, ultimately defeating the one with less health remaining.
Once the chamber is cleared, proceed west and pass through the archway to reach another suspended pillar. Utilize the adjacent mechanism to rotate this pillar, being careful not to have it facing the west.
If so, you must alter your location and then climb the pillar. From there, you will encounter your next set of golems: a fist golem on the ground and a lava golem on the raised platform.
Remember that defeating the lava golem will not guarantee obtaining the Golem Fist. (After all, you can’t drop what you don’t have, right?) It’s best to prioritize the Fist Golems, but taking out the lava golems along the way is always a welcome bonus.
Therefore, the key to efficiently farming the Golem Fist is by utilizing the Taylew’s Ruined Forge. This location offers the highest chance of obtaining the rare drop. Simply continue defeating the tunnel golems until you acquire the Golem Fist.
