The press conference for the UK boy group ‘DEAR ALICE,’ was held on the morning of the 1st (local time) at the Soho Hotel in London. The group is a collaboration between SM Entertainment, Kakao Entertainment’s North American subsidiary, and the British entertainment company MOON&BACK (M&B).
During the event, the first episode and performance video of the six-part TV series ‘Made in Korea: The K-Pop Experience’ were unveiled. The series follows DEAR ALICE’s journey to debut and is set to premiere in August on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. Furthermore, the group’s name ‘DEAR ALICE’ and its five members were officially introduced for the first time.
The five-member group, DEAR ALICE, comprises of Blaise Noon (19), Dexter Greenwood (22), James Sharp (23), Oliver Quinn (20), and Reese Carter (20), with an average age of 21.
Dexter Greenwood, speaking at the press conference, expressed his gratitude for the training provided by SM. He praised the support and guidance from the company’s staff and Korean personnel, which enabled them to have a remarkable journey and create a fantastic TV show. He also shared his appreciation for Korea, stating that he was fully immersed in its culture and felt welcomed by the generosity and kindness of everyone, making it feel like a second home.
“During a recent trip to Korea, Reese Carter worked as a dancer on a cruise and had the opportunity to visit several cities. This experience gave her a deeper understanding of the extensive infrastructure of the K-Pop industry. The influence of K-Pop is palpable in every corner of the country.”
In August, DEAR ALICE will kick off their official activities with the airing of ‘Made in Korea: The K-Pop Experience’ on BBC. The group has ambitious plans to expand their presence not only in the UK, but also in the global music market.
