Solo Fortnite players slam Summer Road Trip quest over party tasks

Solo Fortnite players are frustrated by the Summer Road Trip quest, as it requires them to play in a party with friends, which they can’t believe is necessary.

The Summer Road Trip event commenced on July 23, giving players the chance to engage in nine days of quests that will end on July 31.

A Cybertruck is being offered as a reward for completing nine in-game quests, but it has already presented challenges for certain Fortnite players on the second day.

Day 2 of the event requires players to earn 60,000 XP with a party in Battle Royale, Reload, LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, or Festival.

Despite seeming achievable, Redditor hwanlv pointed out that utilizing the Squad Fill feature to team up with strangers is not a viable solution. The only means of accomplishing the Day 2 challenge is by playing within a group of friends.

In the comments, another Fortnite player verified this and informed other users, stating, “The frustrating part is that you can’t even select the ‘fill’ option. You must have friends who actively play the game and team up with them.”

Despite not having friends who play the online title, many individuals expressed frustration with the requirements.

One disgruntled participant in the discussion labeled Fortnite’s Summer Road Trip challenges as “terrible.”

A different comment states, “it’s irritating when this game attempts to pressure me into playing with others.”

The community has rapidly discovered a solution to the problem by utilizing their own alternative accounts. According to one individual, the following method has proven effective: “have your main account complete XP quests in the map while your alt account remains afk in the same map.”

Players who want to complete all the Summer Road Trip quests in Fortnite will need to either add a friend within the game or utilize the alternative account technique. In addition, earning XP while playing with a group is also required for the quests on Days 2, 4, 6, and 8.

Participants must finish all of Summer Road Trip’s tasks by August 6.
