Solo Leveling has established itself as the big success of the anime season, and these are the numbers that speak: the series continues to break mind-blowing records.
Since its debut on January 7, 2024, Solo Leveling has won over its audience. Cleverly released between the end of season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen, big winner at the Anime Awards, and season 4 of Demon Slayer, the animated series has captured the attention of fantasy fans.
The adaptation by A-1 Pictures of the famous Chugong webtoon features humans who become hunters at the same time as the appearance of portals in the contemporary world: their role is to enter these dungeons to eliminate the boss and prevent the remaining creatures to enter our universe.
New figures have fallen, and they are categorical: yes, Solo Leveling is indeed the anime phenomenon of this winter season. We explain why.
Solo Leveling climbs into the top 100 series on IMDb
Solo Leveling has climbed into the top 100 most searched series on the IMDb site. This is the only anime to have reached this milestone this season, and to have maintained its place. As of this writing, the series has retained its 87th spot on the list.
Other anime are in this top 100, honoring the productions that interest viewers the most. We can thus count on One Piece or Attack on Titan, franchises benefiting from many years of distribution and an audience as large as it is loyal. Among the newcomers, Ninja Kamui had also managed to slip into the top and pass before Solo Leveling, but his victory did not last: the Adult Swim anime has since disappeared.
Please note, however, that the criteria for entering this top 100 are not based on a system of ratings or positive opinions: it is the number of searches carried out by users of the site. We can therefore conclude that the Solo Leveling page is the most viewed among the winter season anime.
Which remains a fine track record, and allows the series to restore its image after a single misstep, which allowed it to break the worst record on Crunchyroll.
