Among the new features that anime fans have been able to discover this year, there is one title in particular which is positioned as one of the gems of 2024, and it is obviously Solo Leveling. Adapted from the eponymous manhwa by Chugong, the anime has continued to make headlines since its debut last January.
The popularity of Solo Leveling is such that the anime recently broke this impressive record, thus demonstrating the public’s appeal to this new adaptation. But it doesn’t stop there, as fans also learned that the anime achieved this incredible performance on Crunchyroll, allowing it to make history on the platform.
New historic performance for Solo Leveling anime
Indeed, an Internet user recently relayed this information on X (formerly Twitter), according to which Solo Leveling is none other than the 7th most popular title in the history of Crunchyroll, the streaming platform dedicated to the world of Japanese animation.

An impressive performance for this anime which, let’s remember, has not even finished broadcasting its first season, since there are only 9 episodes out of the 12 planned which have been released at the time of writing these lines. Also note that the ranking in question is based on the number of reviews.
Solo Leveling thus passes several anime that are also very popular, like My Hero Academia, but also Naruto Shippuden and Blue Lock. It also surpasses The Apothecary’s Notebooks as well as Frieren, two titles which were considered by many to be among the best new releases discovered at the end of last year.
In any case one thing is certain, it is that Solo Leveling has not finished making people talk about it, especially since this recent performance allows it to forget this much less glorious record won by the anime a little more early in the month.
