Solo Leveling Season 2 Set for January 2025 Release with New Key Visual

On September 16, 2024, Aniplex Online Fest made the exciting announcement that Solo Leveling season 2 is set to premiere in January 2025. To celebrate the upcoming broadcast, a movie titled Solo Leveling -ReAwakening- will be released globally, beginning with Japan and Korea in November 2024.

Due to its immense popularity worldwide, animation studio A-1 Pictures adapted the series into an anime, which began airing in Winter 2024, with a second season confirmed for Winter 2025.

Solo Leveling Season 2 Key Visual Unveiled

The announcement from Aniplex Online Fest highlighted that Solo Leveling season 2, titled ‘Solo Leveling season 2 -Arise from the Shadow,’ is scheduled for release in January 2025.

A key visual was revealed, showcasing the series protagonist, Sung Jin-Woo, overlooking Igris and his shadowy allies. While character designs for the second season are not officially confirmed, they appear to be notably enhanced.

In conjunction with the anime’s second season premiere, the movie Solo Leveling -ReAwakening- will offer a recap of the first season along with the first two episodes of the second season. This film aims to refresh fans’ memories of the initial storyline while providing an exclusive early viewing of the new episodes.

The movie will be screened in theaters worldwide, starting in Japan on November 29 and South Korea on November 28, with more international releases to follow. Fans are encouraged to stay updated through official announcements for further details.

The first season of the anime followed the journey of the once-weak E-Rank Hunter, Sung Jin-Woo, who acquires a mysterious System that allows him to be the only Hunter capable of leveling up. With the System, he has to complete daily quests, facing penalties for any failures.

After attaining a certain level, Jin-Woo embarks on a job-change quest, entering a castle to confront Igris, the Bloodred Knight Commander, along with an endless wave of monsters. Completing this quest earns him the title “Shadow Monarch,”granting him the remarkable ability to resurrect the dead as part of his “shadow army.”
