Solo Leveling Season 2 to Showcase More Than Sung Jinwoo, Producer Sota Furuhashi Reveals

It appears that production for Solo Leveling season 2 is already underway, following the immense popularity of the first season. The anime was officially announced at the 2022 Anime Expo, with Studio A-1 Pictures leading the production team, including director Shunsuke Nakashige, scriptwriter Noboru Kimura, character designer Tomoko Sudo, and composer Hiroyuki Sawano.

The production company and entire cast played a crucial role in bringing the series to life. In an interview with Crunchyroll, producer Sota Furuhashi shared some exciting details about the highly anticipated second season of Solo Leveling.

Crunchyroll recently interviewed Sota Furuhashi about his involvement in two series over the past year or so: Mashle: Magic and Muscles and Solo Leveling.

During a conversation on Aniplex After Hours, Furuhashi discussed his recent projects with Japanese idol and voice actor Sally Amaki. He also mentioned the immense support that the anime Solo Leveling has received from both domestic and international audiences.

Furuhashi elaborated on Solo Leveling season 2, stating:

“This time we’ll also turn the spotlight on the supporting characters and fill in the story a bit more as we wrap things up, so you’ll get a more 360-degree look at the world of Solo Leveling in Season 2.”

Furuhashi recognized that the first season primarily centered on Sung Jinwoo’s growth as a character. As Solo Leveling season 2 progresses, this trend will continue, but with a greater emphasis on the other characters. This shift will provide viewers with a deeper understanding of the Solo Leveling world.

Chugong’s series features an exceptional supporting cast, including familiar names such as Cha Hae-in, Yoo Jinho, Choi Jong-in, Baek Yoonho, and others that viewers can expect to see more of.

During the interview, Furuhashi and Amaki discussed the anime’s highly praised action sequences. Furuhashi specifically mentioned their attention to detail in showcasing the development of Jinwoo’s skills as he became stronger and leveled up.

“While you’ll have to wait some time for the second season to come out, I hope you’ll all keep that strong support coming while we work hard to make an even higher quality Season 2 together with the studio,” he finished.
