Some Marvel fans want Deadpool & Wolverine “to bomb” after newest marketing skit

“As the release date for Deadpool & Wolverine approaches, alliances are constantly changing. A recent marketing skit has left fans questioning if Marvel has invested too much time and money into promoting the film.”

Despite already being highly anticipated as one of the biggest movies of 2024, Deadpool and Wolverine are continuing to push the boundaries in their efforts to make a lasting impact. However, the use of reality TV parodies and revealing surprise appearances is not sufficient for the new installment of Deadpool, as Marvel has taken it a step further by releasing a faux podcast featuring the two rebellious characters.

The video shows the two characters as hosts of a made-up podcast named ‘Deadpool and Honey Badger’. As expected, Deadpool displays more excitement compared to Wolverine.

The Deadpool & Wolverine soundtrack was launched with the intention of promotion, but it has left some fans feeling bitter about the presumably large amount of money spent on promoting the film.

“Another person commented, expressing their excitement for this movie to fail and cause Marvel to go bankrupt, just like in the 90s when they had to sell off their superhero rights.”

“One user pointed out, “Marvel’s marketing strategy for this movie?! They’re definitely counting on it to hit the billion mark.”

According to another speculation, the chances of this movie failing are slim. However, considering the extensive marketing efforts being put into it, if by any chance it does flop, it could potentially spell the end for Marvel.

Additionally, a few individuals observed the abundance of marketing efforts. With frequent releases of promotional material leading up to the highly anticipated Marvel movie, it is starting to deter certain fans.

“A comment expressed their growing annoyance with the marketing tactics involving Deadpool and Wolverine,”stated on Twitter.

The release of Deadpool & Wolverine in theaters on July 26 will finally confirm whether the marketing efforts were successful.

Don’t miss out on the other new movies coming out this month, as well as everything we learned at the sneak peak event – including theories on who might be playing Lady Deadpool – until then.
