The highly anticipated “Korean National Team Confrontation”took place at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on the afternoon of August 3rd during the match between Tottenham Hotspur and Bayern Munich in the Coupang Play Series. Fans were excited to see Tottenham’s Son Heung-min and Munich’s Kim Min-jae face off against each other.
Before the start of the game, the audience was displayed on the screen. Actor Park Seo-joon was also seen in attendance, along with his close friends Jung Yoo-mi and Peakboy. They seemed to have come to watch the game together.
Park Seo-joon and Son Heung-min have a well-known friendship. In the 2019 tvN documentary “Sonsational,”which follows Son’s life in the U.K., Park Seo-joon joined him in London to attend his matches and share a dinner together. In a previous interview, Park Seo-joon described Son as “Son Shine”on his phone, highlighting their close bond. Park has continued to support Son by traveling to the U.K. to watch his games, further solidifying their friendship.
Right next to Park Seo-joon, Jung Yoo-mi, and Peakboy, sat AOA’s Seolhyun. Beside her was former AOA member Jimin, identifiable by her hat and mask. However, they were not the only familiar faces at the stadium that day. Former announcers Jeon Hyun-moo and Jang Ye-won, who are now under the same agency, also made an appearance.
During the opening of the game between Tottenham Hotspur and Bayern Munich, New Jeans gave a captivating performance. They also had a half-time show planned, which helped to elevate the energy and excitement of the match.
