Song Ji-hyo On Being In Top 5 Gold Spoons Of K-biz, “It’s My Parents’ Retirement Money”

On July 13th, the channel “Ddeun Ddeun”posted the most recent episode of their YouTube show “Pingyego,”which featured guests Haha, Song Ji-hyo, and Ji Seok-jin.

In this video, host Yoo Jae-seok mentioned that there is a rumor about Ji-hyo’s family being wealthy due to her father’s shipping business in Tongyeong. Ha-ha added, jokingly, that Ji-hyo is among the top 5 celebrities who come from affluent families, also known as “gold spoon”individuals.

Song Ji-hyo explained, waving her hands, “This money is for my parents’ retirement. They used to own a shabu-shabu restaurant, but now they have a ship business on Yokji island.”

Song Ji-hyo mentioned that she has not been able to take a family vacation in eight years due to her dog. She explained that it is difficult to find accommodations and transportation that allow large dogs. However, she plans on taking a vacation with her dog this year. She also shared that her interests have shifted to include her dog since it joined her life, as she used to enjoy leisure sports before.

During a previous episode of SBS’ “Running Man,”Song shared information about her parents’ occupation. She mentioned that they operate a ferry business in Tongyeong. This prompted Yoo Jae-suk to playfully suggest that she be called “the daughter of Tongyeong”from now on. In response to rumors about her family’s wealth, Song clarified that her parents are separate individuals and she should not be defined by their status. This is why she does not often talk about them.

According to reports, Song Ji-hyo’s father is the owner of a large shipping company located in Tongyeong. The company is responsible for running a passenger ship that connects the ports of Beijing, Yokji Island, and Yeonhwa Island.
