On June 18, Chinese media reported that Song Joong-ki was seen walking down the street with his wife Katie Louise Saunders, pushing a stroller with their baby.
Despite their casual attire, Song Joong-ki and Katie Louise Saunders were seen looking stylish as they strolled through the Hannam-dong area of Seoul. Song Joong-ki pushed a stroller while dressed in a T-shirt, shorts, and a cap, while Katie wore a chic long dress and sunglasses. The released photos captured their unassuming yet fashionable presence.
Despite not revealing the baby’s face, the sight of the baby’s feet still sparked affectionate responses. Furthermore, the public is also buzzing about Song Joong-ki’s past experiences as a parent.
In a YouTube video in March, Song Joong-ki spoke about his son, mentioning that he was just over 8 months old. When asked about his son’s cuteness, Song Joong-ki laughed and exclaimed, “I’m losing my mind!”
After being divorced for three years, Song Joong-ki was rumored to be dating British actress Katie in December 2022. The following January, he publicly confirmed their relationship and also announced their upcoming marriage and pregnancy on his fan cafe. Following the birth of his first son in June of last year in Rome, Italy, Song Joong-ki shared his happiness during the premiere of “Hopeless”. Even now, just over 100 days since his birth, the actor still feels amazed and surreal at the thought of being a father. He often finds himself randomly realizing his new role while watching TV or reading the newspaper.
Last October, during an appearance on JTBC’s “Newsroom”, Song Joong-ki revealed, “I often hear people say that ‘his lips look just like mine.’ About eight out of ten people say that. It’s something I pay close attention to. Hearing that makes me feel happy, surprised, and a little bit like I’m in a dream. It’s hard to believe that I’m a father and that I have a son. It still feels unreal.”
When inquired about his parenting journey, he responded, “I believe my wife and I are successfully navigating it together. We approach it with eagerness and it has been a rewarding experience. These days, I am filled with immense joy.”
