Living and Cooking in Italy
During the segment, the hosts probed Song Joong-ki with the question, “Do you spend half the year in Italy? Where do you call home there?” The actor responded, “I live in Tuscany. Although I work in Korea, my family and I reside in Italy.” His insights reveal a deep connection to both cultures.
When olive oil came up as a key ingredient, Song Joong-ki enthusiastically shared, “In Italy, I enjoy olive oil that we extract from the trees in our garden.” This admission piqued the curiosity of the other guests.
Responding to their astonishment about his olive trees, he recalled, “We have a couple of them. Just two months ago, with help from our neighbor, we extracted our own oil. It brings such a sense of accomplishment and warmth to use oil from our own garden year-round.”

When asked about his aspirations for family activities, he said, “I want to share my passion for sports with my children, take them to baseball games, and dress in matching uniforms.” His commitment to fostering family connections shines through.
Exploring Multilingual Family Dynamics
In discussing the dynamics of his multilingual household, Song Joong-ki remarked, “I converse with my wife in English. She is fluent in English, Italian, Spanish, and French, and she’s currently learning Korean. I, too, am dedicated to enhancing my English and Italian skills.”
