The highly anticipated follow-up, starring Sonic (Ben Schwartz), Tails (Colleen O’Shaughnessey), and Knuckles (Idris Elba) as they face off against Shadow the Hedgehog (Keanu Reeves), is set to hit theaters in just a few months.
Despite the release of Knuckles in May, marketing for Sonic the Hedgehog 3 has been almost non-existent. The film has only been shown through unofficial footage and many marketing channels have remained quiet.
The supporters are growing increasingly agitated, with numerous expressing their discontent on social media.
Fans demand Paramount release trailer for Sonic 3
Despite the film’s scheduled release in December, the absence of a Sonic trailer has left dedicated fans feeling frustrated and anxious. The lack of any promotional material, such as a trailer or poster, has led to speculation that the release of Sonic 3 may have been postponed.
Currently, passionate Sonic fans are eagerly awaiting an update on the movie’s progress. The most recent significant news was revealed in April 2024, when it was confirmed that Keanu Reeves would lend his voice to Shadow and several popular songs from the franchise would make an appearance in the film.

As of now, the only footage shown from the movie was a special presentation at CinemaCon. The brief video showcased Sonc, Tails, and Knuckles battling against Shadow and a reprising Dr. Robotnick (Jim Carrey). The footage has not yet been made available to the public.
Despite reassurances that the film will not be leaked, many still believe that it will be delayed. The delays appear to be a result of worries sparked by a well-known leaker’s claim that they had the entire movie and would release it. Nevertheless, Netflix has since clarified that this was a false threat and has issued warnings of potential legal consequences.

As of now, there is no announcement of any delay for the release of Sonic the Hedgehog 3. The movie is still set to come out on December 20, 2024.

Despite concerns that Sonic 3 has been overlooked, fans can take comfort in the fact that it has not been completely forgotten. Attendees at the 2024 GAMESCOM event were treated to a teaser for the film at Sega’s booth, although it seemed to feature assets from Sonic 2.
