Soobin’s Weverse Post Raises Concerns About His Health and Fuels Boycott Demands Against HYBE

On September 15, Soobin expressed his exhaustion and alarming fatigue through several messages on Weverse, sharing that he barely had the strength to eat. His message included:

“Passing out,

I’m so tired…

I don’t even have the energy to swallow food so I only ate half of it.

For starters, I’ll wash up and be back.

I might not be back either…”

Fans perceived Soobin’s statements as a hint regarding the intense pressure faced by him and the other members of TXT, leading to renewed calls for better treatment of artists. Many have criticized HYBE (BIGHIT MUSIC) for allegedly overworking their idols.

TXT has faced considerable scrutiny regarding their hectic schedule, with all members encountering ongoing injuries and health concerns. In addition to their current world tour, they are also planning to drop a new album this year.

In response, numerous fans urged a boycott of HYBE, insisting that the label should prioritize artists’ health over profits, particularly as more idols from the agency have reported similar issues.

  • “These idols are not silent about their abuse, y’all just don’t listen.” – a fan wrote on X.
  • “Y’all will see this & still support a November comeback when these boys are desperately in need of rest” – another fan commented.
  • “Y’all are letting HYBE get away with literally abusing their artists, their employees bad-mouthing their top artists, overworking them till they pass out, not defending them, do y’all even CARE about your faves!” another user stated.
  • “It’s insane to me how all of you keep defending the company and refusing to boycott, when it’s so obvious how it’s mistreating and exploiting the artists” – another post.
