Soojin Excluded from Group Photos by Fans: Is Respect Too Much to Ask For?

Some members of the audience at Soojin’s fan concert are facing backlash and disapproval from other fans of the soloist for not joining in the group photo at the event. The photos have also caused rumors to circulate about these individuals potentially being scalpers, based on their perceived “impolite”actions.

On July 26, a fan posted their thoughts about the group photos taken at Soojin’s first-ever fan concert tour, “Summer Daze,”which took place on July 20 in Taipei, Taiwan.

The netizen noted that one audience member had disrupted the photos. The photos showed that the majority of fans in the venue were imitating the soloist’s heart-g poses. However, some observed that those seated in the VIP front row did not seem to be enjoying the concert.

“After seeing these concert photos with Soojin, I can only say that I don’t have any thoughts regarding the insider tickets, since certain individuals can purchase tickets. But I hope that the organizers will stop being pretentious in future concerts.

Do not inform the public that the VIP tickets in the first-row are available because it’s not possible to buy them. You can just give them away to the insiders. (I also saw some people in the first-row. I can say that these beautiful pictures are ruined, and I’m a bit angry).”

At the same time, a different internet user stated that they were also present at the venue, sitting in the second row. According to this person, the man in front of them spent the entire concert on their phone.

“I was in the 2nd row and I watched that guy scroll on his phone from right from the start. It’s super uncool how first row tickets are given to these kinds of people who don’t watch the show.”

The post subsequently sparked unfavorable comments from fans:

  • “I almost died seeing these photos. They’re performers on stage, so is it that hard to give respect?”
  • “I heard someone say that the old man was a ticket scalper.”
  • “They really should get out.”
  • “When I saw the VIP line, I was just speechless.”

Soojin’s solo debut took place on November 8, 2023, with her first mini album “AGASSY.”The idol is currently signed under her new agency, BRD Entertainment, and is determined to advance her solo career after a period of hiatus caused by her school violence scandal and departure from (G)I-DLE. On May 24, Soojin also dropped her second mini album, “RIZZ,”along with its lead single, “MONA LISA.”
