She expressed, “I believe this was yet another chance to acknowledge the flaws in our company.”
On August 6th, Jeon Soyeon used her social media to express her thoughts, stating, “Despite the challenges we have faced together for more than a decade, I do not harbor any negative feelings towards the company based solely on media reports. However, words can be easily misconstrued and alter their original meaning if not conveyed accurately.”
“She expressed her hope that any uncomfortable emotions, such as worry or resentment, would ease as she continues to strive for personal growth and development.”
Jeon Soyeon elaborated, stating that her top priority is always finding ways to bring happiness to others. Her second focus is on improving the overall happiness of her team. She acknowledges that this can sometimes result in controversial moments or projects that are not well-received, but she assures that she never intentionally deceives or causes harm, and avoids anything that would cause her personal guilt.
She emphasized, “This recent performance was not fabricated, and I did not feel the need to conceal it from the company. It was a collective effort, with multiple rehearsals in front of everyone.”
Jeon Soyeon assured, “I will continue to put in my best efforts so that you can rest easy. To my Neverland (fandom name), I am forever apologetic, thankful, and full of love for you.”
During (G)I-DLE’s third world tour “2024 (G)I-DLE WORLD TOUR [iDOL] IN SEOUL”at KSPO DOME in Seoul on August 3rd, Jeon Soyeon delivered a solo performance which featured a powerful rap with the lyrics, “My contract expires in November. No one can hold me back.”
After her contract with the agency expires in November, there was speculation that Jeon Soyeon might depart from the agency. However, Cube Entertainment later clarified that it was simply a performance.
