Tier List Summary
S Tier
- The Heavy Bolt Rifle strikes a perfect balance between firepower and rate of fire, making it an ideal choice for dealing consistent and rapid damage. Its increased piercing and range, along with its extra magazine capacity, make it highly effective for taking down large groups from a considerable distance. This automatic rifle is unmatched in its versatility within the game.
- The Heavy Bolter is a devastating weapon with an incredible rate of fire. It is exclusive to the Heavy class in multiplayer, but its firepower only increases the longer you use it. With unparalleled crowd control abilities, this weapon can quickly eliminate large groups of enemies.
- The Plasma Pistol in Space Marine 2 is the most versatile among the three secondary weapons. Its damage output is greater and it has a faster firing rate compared to the standard Bolt Pistol. Additionally, it has the unique ability to charge shots for massive damage, making it an excellent choice for various scenarios.
- The Power Sword is a melee weapon that I am particularly fond of. Its balance is impeccable, making it equally effective against both single and multiple targets. With the ability to quickly switch between its light and heavy stances, it is equipped to handle any situation that arises in the game. Not to mention, the cool lightning glow it emits is simply awesome.
A Tier
- The Instigator Bolt Carbine is a highly effective ranged weapon for players who prefer to engage from a distance. With its scope, it offers one of the few long-range options in Space Marine 2, making it easy to score precise headshots. Additionally, its three-round burst fire provides a respectable rate of fire, making it a valuable tool for taking on multiple enemies.
- The Melta Rifle is the Space Marine 2’s equivalent of a shotgun, functioning as a thermal weapon that inflicts significant area-of-effect harm to nearby targets. It is highly effective at close range and can effortlessly eradicate hordes of enemies. Additionally, the versatility of this powerful primary weapon allows for multiple classes to utilize it.
- The Chainsword, a renowned melee weapon from the first Space Marine title, continues to hold its position as one of the most effective weapons in the game. Its impressive combo capabilities allow for devastating attacks on both single and multiple targets, solidifying its status as the signature weapon of the Ultramines.
- The Thunder Hammer is known as the most potent melee weapon in the game, but it also has the slowest attack speed by a significant amount. Designed for taking on multiple enemies at once, the Thunder Hammer delivers powerful strikes in wide, slow arcs and has a high chance of stunning any remaining foes.
B tier
- The Auto Bolt Rifle is the standard assault rifle in Space Marine 2. It is a reliable weapon that will serve you well in most encounters, making it a good choice for beginners. While it may not have any standout features, it gets the job done effectively.
- Bolt Rifle: While the Bolt Rifle may not be as powerful or versatile as the Auto Bolt Rifle, it still boasts superior firepower, accuracy, and range. Its slower fire rate and limited ammo reserve may limit its potential uses, but it remains a reliable option.
- The Bolt Carbine is an ideal option for those seeking to engage in close-range combat, as it boasts one of the game’s highest fire rates. This weapon is perfect for fast-paced, spray-and-pray tactics, allowing for swift elimination of multiple enemies. However, it may not be as effective in mid-to-long-range confrontations.
- Plasma Incinerator: Similar to the Plasma Pistol, the Plasma Incinerator is a versatile weapon that allows for charged shots to deal extra damage. However, its slow rate of fire and limited ammo capacity make it less desirable compared to more powerful weapons that can fill your primary slot.
- The Bolt Sniper Rifle is widely considered to be the top long-range rifle in the game, with its impressive firepower and ability to deal deadly headshot damage. It excels at taking out enemy snipers and elite foes from afar. However, due to the game’s focus on overwhelming players with hordes of enemies, the Bolt Sniper Rifle may not be as effective in most of the battles players will encounter.
- Multi-Melta: This is the heavy version of the Melta Rifle that, if you can believe, packs an even mightier punch than its already powerful thermal counterpart. Just like the other version, the Multi-Melta is great for crowd control. However, you can only use it with the heavy class in Operations mode, meaning that it’s much harder to get your hands on.
- The Heavy Bolt Pistol is superior to the standard Bolt Pistol due to its increased impact and longer range.
- Power Fist: Although visually appealing, the Power Fist falls short compared to other melee weapons in Space Marine 2. However, it still holds its own with versatile combos and the ability to deal considerable wave damage. It simply lacks the desired level of impact that we seek.
Champions Tier
- The Stalker Bolt Rifle is known to be the least efficient Bolt Rifle due to its poor rate of fire. Although it has decent firepower, piercing capabilities, and accuracy, its single-shot functionality can prove to be extremely challenging when facing multiple opponents.
- Despite its impressive specifications, the Las Fusil energy sniper rifle ultimately proves to be a disappointment.
- Heavy Plasma Incinerator: This is the upgraded version of the Plasma Incinerator, designed for dealing high amounts of damage. However, its slow fire rate may be a disadvantage, making other Plasma weapons a better choice.
- The Bolt Pistol is the standard-issue pistol in Space Marine 2. While it is not terrible, it is just average. You would have better results by using one of the other secondary weapons.
- Combat Knife: While it may not have the most versatility, the Combat Knife is still an enjoyable weapon to wield. Its primary function is to swiftly eliminate individual targets, making it the fastest melee option available in the game. However, due to its limited damage output, successfully utilizing it may require executing lengthy combo sequences, which can be challenging when facing multiple foes at once.
