Spine-Chilling Account of a Female VVIP Guest at Burning Sun: One Second of Carelessness Could Lead to the Rape Drug Trap

The release of the BBC documentary “Burning Sun: Exposing the Secret K-pop Chat Groups” has sparked renewed interest in the Burning Sun case, which involves Seungri and his friends Jung Joon Young and Choi Jong Hoon. The documentary not only sheds light on the crimes committed by these former K-pop idols but also exposes the tactics of coercion and sexual assault that were employed against women at Seungri’s club.

According to Hong Kong model and YouTuber Zheng Jinlin, the BBC documentary only scratches the surface of the depravity and danger lurking within Burning Sun.

“The documentary ‘Burning Sun: Exposing the Secret K-pop Chat Groups’ left me with chills, as it reminded me of my own terrifying encounter at the infamous club. The date rape drug used to prey on unsuspecting women was only a few inches away from me. The debauchery and strangeness depicted by the BBC was just a glimpse of what I experienced at Burning Sun. The reality inside was far beyond anything I could have imagined,”Zheng Jinlin recalled.

During a recent interview, Zheng Jinlin disclosed that she had frequented Burning Sun in 2018. She explained that her best friend’s ex-boyfriend had close ties with Seungri, which gave her the chance to attend the bar as a VVIP guest. This granted her firsthand exposure to the extreme levels of debauchery that took place at Burning Sun.

According to Zheng Jinlin, Seungri was present and performed as a DJ when she went to Burning Sun. The nightclub was filled with people who were opening champagne, lighting fireworks, and constantly throwing napkins in the air to create an electrifying atmosphere with Seungri.

Burning Sun had a unique aspect to it – the guests were all sporting sunglasses and moving to the pulsing beats and dazzling lights. Zheng Jinlin noticed that a majority of the guests were indulging in stimulants. In order to not frighten those who were new to the club, they would hide their dilated eyes behind sunglasses.

Notably, Zheng Jinlin clarified that she and her friend had only consumed one glass of champagne each while passing through two VVIP areas. Despite this, they soon began to feel intoxicated and their awareness slowly faded into a haze.

After being cautioned by her friend’s ex-boyfriend about instances of women being drugged at Burning Sun, Zheng Jinlin and her friend quickly made their exit. It took them a while to recover from the effects once they were outside. Zheng Jinlin later realized that her wallet, which had her ID and credit cards, had been stolen during their time at Burning Sun without her knowledge.

Both my friend and I questioned whether we had been drugged. It seemed strange that just one glass of champagne could leave us feeling so intoxicated and disoriented. The tactics used to drug people are extremely disturbing and complex. I later discovered that even a brief moment of carelessness could leave you vulnerable, as “date rape drugs”can also be slipped into food. It’s truly alarming to think about the potential dangers at Burning Sun and how unpredictable they can be. It’s like being a fish in a tank, constantly surrounded by predators. I consider myself fortunate that nothing worse happened to me that day.

Despite its reputation as one of the most exclusive and upscale nightclubs in the affluent Gangnam district of South Korea, Burning Sun, which was founded by Seungri and his associates, was revealed in 2019 to be a hub for illicit activities including unauthorized filming (molka), drug use, sexual violence, prostitution, and drugging women for the purpose of sexual assault.

Moreover, Seungri, Jung Joon Young, Choi Jong Hoon, and other acquaintances were revealed to have engaged in various criminal activities, such as gang rape, covertly recording and distributing videos of their attacks through group chats.

Despite having been released in February, Seungri is still traveling and partying abroad.
