Spirit Halloween’s latest offering, the Hawk Tuah girl costume, has taken social media by storm, leaving many viewers divided over their feelings about it.
As Halloween 2024 approaches, Spirit Halloween is fully operational in various abandoned retail locations, making it a go-to destination for festive decorations and costumes.
Each year, the store introduces innovative designs and products, and this season, some of those items have gained significant attention online.
Haliey Welch, known as Hawk Tuah, collaborated with Spirit Halloween to create licensed “Hawk Tuah” costumes and merchandise, which quickly sparked curiosity and confusion on platforms like TikTok.
On October 3, Welch showcased the Spirit Halloween merchandise, featuring two jumpsuit costumes reminiscent of Michael Myers, along with her branded apparel, flag, and other items.
The merchandise quickly gained traction, with numerous TikTok videos going viral. One notable post by Matthewables, shared at the end of September, gathered nearly 2 million views, prompting a wave of reactions.

Comments on the viral video varied, with one user remarking, “It was only funny for like a day,” while another added, “This is getting way outta hand.” One clever user appreciated the slogan from one of the featured items: “If she don’t hawk tuah I don’t talk tuah” is peak writing.
This isn’t Welch’s first time trending with her official ‘Hawk Tuah’ merchandise. Following the viral success of her catchphrase, she partnered with a local hat manufacturer to create products that generated substantial revenue.
Since then, Welch has made notable donations of money and food to animal shelters, in addition to launching her own podcast.
Shortly after the premiere of ‘Talk Tuah,’ Haliey Welch’s podcast climbed the Spotify charts, reaching the fourth spot in the US.
