Sprite is set to introduce an innovative drink inspired by the classic Arnold Palmer, a refreshing blend that has begun trending on social media platforms.
Since TikTok’s inception in 2016, it has been a breeding ground for numerous viral trends, especially those involving unique drink combinations. Recently, two particular trends gained traction involving Coca-Cola: one included lining a glass with marshmallow fluff, while another encouraged mixing Coke with a protein shake.
However, in 2023, TikTok was abuzz with videos featuring users combining Lipton Iced Tea with Sprite. This mix brilliantly replicates the dual flavors of lemonade and iced tea, mimicking the beloved Arnold Palmer.
Sprite Introduces New “Sprite + Tea” Variant
In response to this viral sensation, Sprite is reportedly launching a new variant dubbed “Sprite + Tea.” Early in January, prominent food influencer candyhunting shared a sneak peek of the bottle and can design on Instagram.
The new drink promises “a refreshing blend of Sprite’s iconic lemon-lime flavor and crisp iced tea notes,”with plans for its market release in Spring 2025. Catering to diverse dietary preferences, Sprite will offer both regular and zero-sugar options, allowing health-conscious consumers to indulge.
Fans have already begun voicing their impressions in the comments, expressing enthusiasm for the collaboration. One user remarked, “I’ve been combining them at restaurants forever, and I’m thrilled they’re finally coming together!”
Another user commented, “I can’t wait to try the Zero Sugar version. It’s like a Fizzy Arnold Palmer!” A third comment quipped, “Seems like they’re cashing in on the TikTok trend. What’s next? Cotton Candy Sprite at McDonald’s?”
This rollout is not Sprite’s first foray into new flavors recently. In May 2024, the brand reintroduced the Aruba Jam Sprite Remix, but limited its availability exclusively to Wendy’s fast-food locations.
