Spy x Family Season 3 officially announced, and fans are ready to cry

It has been officially announced that Spy x Family Season 3 is in the works, and a new visual has been released to accompany the news, much to the delight of fans.

Despite the fact that the growing success of the franchise made it seem like a Season 3 of Spy x Family was inevitable, there was little information available. However, during an Anime Extra Mission event in Japan on June 9, it was announced that new episodes of the anime are currently in production, clearing up any uncertainties.

Only minimal information has been revealed so far. The team behind the project and the expected release date are still unknown. However, a teaser poster designed by character designer Kazuaki Shimada has been released, featuring a heartwarming image of Anya and Bond sleeping in her room surrounded by a star-shaped arrangement of lights.

Despite the already successful worldwide release of Spy x Family Code: White earlier this year and its positive reception, the announcement of Season 3 seemed even more certain. In the anime movie, the Yorger family embarks on a Christmas vacation that ultimately results in their heroic efforts to prevent an aircraft from crashing into a small town, preserving world peace.

Bringing back regular episodes implies that the primary storyline will resume, and that is sure to bring some heartache.

On Reddit, a comment expresses, “The Loid backstory being animated is going to bring tears to my eyes.”Another comment states, “We will learn about Loid’s past and how he became a spy, which was truly heart-wrenching. From experiencing the horrors of war to his involvement in Operation Strix.”

Furthermore, as we delve deeper into Loid’s character, we will also witness the Red Circus Arc. This arc follows Anya as she uses her abilities to avert a disaster when her school bus is hijacked during a field trip. (This can be seen depicted in the bottom right corner of the visual.)

Hopefully, we won’t have to wait too long for the release of Spy x family Season 3.
