In Stalker 2, players encounter an array of intriguing side quests, with many offering optional objectives that ultimately ease the completion of primary goals. One notable example is the Just Business side quest. Engaging with non-playable characters (NPCs) consistently yields rewards, and this mission is no different. This guide will outline how to initiate the Just Business quest, accompanied by detailed steps to ensure your success.
Starting the Just Business Quest in Stalker 2
To embark on the Just Business side quest, locate the underground barkeep. Begin your search by heading south from the Toad vendor, who not only sells supplies but also purchases damaged weapons, making him a valuable resource. Watch for “6ap 100” signs on the walls, which will guide you to the entrance.
Once you’ve pinpointed the underground entrance, proceed downwards to reach the bar area. You may recognize this spot if you’ve advanced sufficiently in the main storyline, as it is connected to an earlier mission involving a conversation with Richter.
Inside the underground bar, you’ll encounter members of the Freedom faction alongside the barkeep.
Completing the Just Business Side Quest
The objectives for the Just Business quest are twofold: infiltrate the bandit base and find the missing members of the Freedom faction. Although you could opt to bypass the Freedom group and proceed directly to the bandit base, completing this side objective considerably simplifies your primary tasks.
Successfully aiding the Freedom members grants you access to a hidden tunnel, along with a rare artifact that is otherwise difficult to acquire in Stalker 2.
Locating the Missing Freedom Members
To find the members of the Freedom group, travel northwest from Rostok toward the Red Forest. This journey entails crossing the Yaniv region, making it a lengthy trek.
Ensure you’re not overburdened, as this will significantly slow your progress. Along your route, be prepared to face Bloodsuckers or, worse, an Emission storm if you find yourself without shelter.
Upon arrival at the parking area, your task is to locate Carl, who can be found in the locker room.
Healing Carl will require one Medkit from your inventory, so ensure you possess at least one before undertaking the mission to find the missing Freedom members.
Once Carl is revived, he will provide you with a key that opens a tunnel, offering a direct route to the Warehouse where the bandits are located.
The tunnel entrance is identified on the second floor by a white door illuminated at the end of a hallway. This shortcut allows you to avoid detection while navigating towards the Warehouse, though proceed with caution since the tunnels contain hazardous acid anomalies.
Equip a reliable detector, such as the HILKA, during your traversal, as a valuable Ciliate Artifact can be found hidden in these tunnels, proving beneficial for your journey.
Gaining Access to the Bandit Base
As you traverse the tunnels, you will ultimately encounter a ladder leading upward into the Warehouse, where the next phase of the quest unfolds.
Your main goal in the Warehouse is to eliminate all bandit members and confront a mutant known as the Pseudogiant, which is contained inside a nearby container.
To locate the Pseudogiant, look for a container that is marked with yellow paint, positioned near additional wooden boxes also highlighted in yellow.
Climb onto the stacked containers to access a higher platform filled with wooden boxes. Use your knife to dismantle these boxes, which will ultimately trigger the Pseudogiant’s escape and set it loose on the unsuspecting bandits.
Once the Pseudogiant is freed, employ a strategic approach by baiting it toward the bandits to eliminate them more efficiently. Stock up on energy drinks for stamina regeneration as you maneuver the creature, allowing it to do the heavy lifting in your fight.
However, be cautious—if you stray too close to the bandits, the Pseudogiant may turn its attention to you. While this tactic weakens the mutant, it also increases your personal risk if you’re not vigilant.
After dispatching the bandits, you will must take down the Pseudogiant yourself.
Upon defeating the Pseudogiant, loot its body to obtain the Electronic Collar. Although retrieving the collar is not essential for finishing the Just Business quest, it plays a significant role in the subsequent quest titled In the Name of Science.
Rewards for Completing the Just Business Side Quest
After successfully eliminating the bandits and the Pseudogiant, return to Rostok and converse with the barkeep. In gratitude for your efforts, he will reward you with the coveted Sphere M20 Helmet.
