Stalker 2 Includes Easter Egg Alluding to Classic Call of Duty 4 Mission

The gaming community has been buzzing with excitement as players of Stalker 2 continue to uncover intriguing Easter eggs, including a notable reference to a classic mission from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

Since its recent release, Stalker 2 has captivated fans with multiple nods to pop culture, enhancing its immersive experience. One of the standout finds was located in a house within the Lesser Zone, where players can discover a postcard featuring a warning that reads, “Stay Away” from the Day Z area, hinting at its infamous reputation.

Beyond this, players have stumbled upon a delightful Harry Potter Easter egg. This particular reference features a damaged car caught precariously in a tree, reminiscent of the unforgettable scene from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

A Nod to Call of Duty 4

On social media platform Twitter/X, YouTuber OperationDrewski highlighted a standout sniper rifle positioned strategically in the Pripyat region. The rifle lies tilted on a tabletop, pointing directly towards a cluster of adjacent buildings, creating a striking scene.

This arrangement has been likened to the early Modern Warfare mission titled “All Ghillied Up,” where characters John Price and Captain MacMillan execute a stealthy assassination on villain Imran Zakhaev. The similarities in visual composition and weaponry are intriguing and serve as a clever homage.

Interestingly, the Call of Duty franchise itself has previously referenced the “All Ghillied Up” mission, notably in a map from the 2019 reboot. Thus, it comes as no surprise that Stalker 2 has integrated similar tributes within its rendition of the Pripyat region.

Beyond its clever Easter eggs, Stalker 2 is receiving acclaim for its deeply immersive gameplay and compelling narrative. Since its launch on both PC and Xbox, players have been particularly drawn to its dark storytelling and atmospheric elements.

Despite some technical difficulties, including crashes and glitches, developers at GSC Game World have assured the community that the forthcoming major patch will address these issues, enhancing the overall gaming experience for everyone.
