This guide delves into the intriguing side missions of Stalker 2, where your decisions directly influence outcomes. One notable quest, No Honor Among Thieves, allows players to decide between lethal action against NPCs or negotiating for valuable rewards. We recommend maintaining a calm demeanor during these critical moments to enhance your gaming experience.
In this walkthrough, we will provide a comprehensive guide on how to initiate and successfully complete the No Honor Among Thieves side quest, ultimately leading you to acquire a rare and formidable weapon.
Initiating the No Honor Among Thieves Side Quest
To commence the No Honor Among Thieves quest, converse with the Huron NPC located in the Slag Heap region of Stalker 2. As you progress through the game, you will advance from the initial area to the Garbage Pile, which features a safe zone known as the Slag Heap. Here, you will encounter Huron, a vendor renowned for offering excellent prices on weapons, ammunition, and consumables.
During your first interaction with Huron, inquire about the local happenings by selecting the option ‘About the missing shipment.’ This choice prompts Huron to inform Skif about a missing courier who was supposed to deliver essential supplies to him from the Brood Bandits. This conversation marks the completion of the quest initiation, and you now possess the No Honor Among Thieves quest in your log.
Gaining Access to the Brood Bandit Cabin
To proceed with the quest, you need to locate the cabin occupied by the Brood Bandits. The in-game marker will guide you to a cabin with significant damage, specifically a collapsed roof caused by an excavator. Close to this cabin, you’ll notice two containers positioned adjacent to the construction machinery.
Upon approach, you’ll discover that the main entrance is locked, and the windows are secured, making entry challenging. However, peeking through the windows reveals that the Brood Bandits inside are already deceased.
Circumventing the cabin may lead you to the two red containers, which contain breakable wooden crates. Utilize your knife to break these crates and navigate to the top of the second container. Then, run and leap across to the excavator’s arm, aiming to land on the cabin’s roof—this is your gateway to entry.
Searching for Clues Within the Cabin
Once inside, your mission objective will shift to examining the bodies of the Brood Bandits. As you search, you’ll uncover Edik the Dome’s PDA, which reveals that the Brood Bandits were ambushed in the cabin, and the stash Huron was expecting is now with another group of bandits.
Your next goal is to head towards the Plant Boiler Station, located southwest of the cabin.
Reaching the Plant Boiler Station
Following the marker, you will arrive at the Plant Boiler Station. Be prepared, as bandits will engage you promptly. Keep an eye out for a sniper stationed on the roof and additional armed bandits on the ground.
Your objective is to infiltrate the building housing Huron’s missing shipment. Unfortunately, all entry points are heavily guarded and locked.
To enter the Plant Boiler Station, navigate to the left side of the building where you’ll find a tower. There are two ladders: one leads to the top of the tower, while the other ascends to the roof.
Opt for the ladder that ascends to the roof. You will find a sniper located at the opposite end. Eliminate him to access a nearby platform that leads to the first floor of the building.
Upon entering the first floor, expect immediate gunfire from at least three bandits. Clear the enemies and navigate to the ground level.
At the far end of this floor lies the room that contains Huron’s stash, but you will find the door locked.
To gain access to the stash room, return to the first floor from where you entered. Look to the left side of the door to see an opening. Jump down to enter the stash area.
The Dilemma: To Kill or Spare Docent
As you enter the stash room, you’ll encounter Docent, a bandit who will attempt to negotiate with Skif. He will offer you the package, stating his disinterest in it.
Your options at this point are:
- ‘Go on’
- ‘No way.’
Choosing the second option allows you to kill Docent, while the first lets you delve into his proposal. We advise against eliminating him immediately.
Docent explains that Dome and his crew intended to retrieve the courier from the bandits under the pretext that they were affiliated with Shah. However, the real Shah’s men arrived, resulting in the downfall of the Brood Bandits. Now, Docent and his crew are trapped in the Plant Boiler Station.
Docent offers a deal: if you spare his life, he will divulge the location of Shah’s special weapon stored on the mainland.
- If you accept the ‘Okay’ option, Skif will retain both Shah’s stash location and Huron’s missing shipment in Stalker 2.
We highly recommend not killing Docent during the No Honor Among Thieves quest as it leads to the most favorable outcome.
Returning Huron’s Missing Shipment
After navigating through the chaos of battling the rival bandit faction and retrieving the shipment, it’s time to return it to Huron.
Completing this mission will reward you with a total of 2,159 Coupons for successfully delivering the stash back to Huron during the No Honor Among Thieves quest in Stalker 2.
Locating Shah’s Stash and Obtaining Shah’s Mate SMG
Upon completion of No Honor Among Thieves, your next objective should be to secure the loot from Shah’s stash, located to the northwest of Slag Heap. To identify it on your map, hover your cursor over the stash icon titled “The Shah’s Stash.”
The stash can be found beneath a train track in a dark archway. Look left once inside to find a bag lying on the ground.
Open the bag to acquire Shah’s Mate, a highly modified SMG known for its extended magazine and enhanced firing rate, outpacing most SMGs available in Stalker 2.
However, be wary; upon grabbing Shah’s Mate, you will be ambushed by a Bloodsucker mutant, notorious for its ability to turn invisible and launch devastating melee attacks.
For this confrontation, it’s advisable to carry a shotgun, as its high damage at close range is particularly effective against the melee-based Bloodsucker. Alternatively, you might choose to evade the fight altogether by retreating to the nearest safe zone. Bloodsuckers do not drop any loot, unlike humanoid foes, making it a strategic move to conserve your resources.
