One of the most effective strategies for surviving encounters with both mutants and human foes in Stalker 2 is to equip robust armor sets. However, typically, superior protection comes with increased weight, making inventory management a crucial aspect of gameplay. Among various choices, the Sunrise Suit stands out as it delivers reliable defense for exploration and combat without excessively burdening your character. In this guide, we’ll explore two different methods to acquire the Sunrise Suit in Stalker 2.
How to Acquire the Sunrise Suit Armor in Stalker 2
The Sunrise Suit is located at the Repair Quay point of interest (POI), situated on the far eastern edge of the game map. Within this facility, you will need to navigate through some platforming challenges to reach a pipe on the ceiling where the Sunrise Suit is stored.
To start, make your way to the southeastern side of the Repair Quay structure, where you will encounter a large entrance, a rundown bus, some shipping containers, and two circular concrete blocks stacked together.
Your journey begins by jumping onto the crates near the entrance, then ascending to the concrete blocks. From this vantage point, you can reach a container positioned at the same height. Look for a nearby ladder; it will lead you to the roof. Once at the top, you’ll find yourself facing broken glass windows.
Carefully navigate through the broken windows to land on the pipes, avoiding a fall to the ground below. Proceed north along the pipes until you reach a small platform with a stash bag.
While the stash bag only contains a few consumable items, it is still worth collecting. Below this platform, you will find the Sunrise Suit armor resting on the pipes, awaiting your retrieval.
Alternate Route to Obtain the Sunrise Suit in Stalker 2
While making your way to the SIRCAA facility during the “Extreme Simplicity”main mission, you may encounter the Fish Farm POI, where a firefight breaks out between rival factions.
Should you decide to engage, there’s an alternative method to acquire the Sunrise Suit. After defeating the Sultan’s men assaulting the group of stalkers, you’ll unlock a side mission titled “The Key to Freedom.”
The Key to Freedom Side Mission
At the fish farm, you will find Zhenya Hulk and two other NPCs imprisoned within the Administrative building. Once you clear out the enemies, search the body of an enemy named Adik Pedal. His PDA will direct you to the hidden key for the captives’ room, which he concealed on the roof of the building.
To procure Adik Pedal’s key and liberate the captives, face the building containing electric anomalies and look to your left for a ladder that provides access to the roof.
Climb the ladder and traverse to the opposite end of the roof. Utilize the throwing bolt trick to safely bypass the electric anomalies; neglecting this could lead to severe damage and significant health loss.
Once you’ve crossed safely, interact with the bag to retrieve Adik Pedal’s key. Additionally, you’ll find a Coupled AKM-74 magazine attachment; be sure to collect this before leaving the roof.
Return to the Administrative building and free Zhenya Hulk. After engaging in conversation, inquire about a reward. This will grant you 2,834 Coupons, marking the Key to Freedom side mission as complete.
After collecting your reward and concluding the mission, you can eliminate the three NPCs—aim for headshots—and loot their bodies to obtain the Sunrise Suit at the fish farm POI in Stalker 2.
Assessing the Effectiveness of the Sunrise Suit in Stalker 2
The Sunrise Suit is particularly noteworthy for its outstanding physical defense. This armor class enables players to absorb substantial damage, increasing your odds of surviving encounters with mutants or bandits without having to rely heavily on healing items.
Beyond its excellent physical protection, the Sunrise Suit offers moderate resistance to radiation. Its lightweight design, weighing only four kilograms, makes it a reliable option for various scenarios.
However, it’s important to note that the suit has limitations. It does not provide adequate protection against fire or electric Poltergeists, which poses a significant risk. Additionally, its lack of chemical resistance means players should exercise caution in areas laden with hazardous green waste.
