In the quest titled “The Hive,” players face a crucial decision: whether to support the Ashiga Queen or her daughter, Krisk, who is allied with Crimson Dawn. Kay must deliver the Ashiga Origin Strand to either character, and this choice can lead to different outcomes.
1. Should you give the strand to Krisk or the Queen?
It’s advisable for players to give the Strand to Krisk, as this decision yields the most favorable outcomes. Choosing Krisk over the Ashiga Queen does not alter the overall game narrative but enhances your reputation within Crimson Dawn.
The Ashiga Origin Strand, which consists of the sequenced DNA of the Ashiga Clan, proves powerful for whoever wields it. If you choose to give it to the queen, your reputation with Crimson Dawn decreases significantly, while your standing with the Ashiga Clan improves considerably.
Conversely, selecting Krisk as the recipient of the Strand significantly raises your reputation with Crimson Dawn without negatively affecting your status with the Ashiga Clan.
2. Outcome of all the Choices
2.1 Give the Strand to the Queen
The Queen is determined to maintain her power and is cautious of Crimson Dawn’s influence on Krisk. To ensure the clan’s strength, she requires the power of the Strand.
If you choose to give the Origin Strand to the Queen, she may order her guards to eliminate Krisk on the spot. Although the Queen retains her position in the game, this choice does not impact gameplay or story progression.
This choice will lead to a significant decrease in your reputation with Crimson Dawn and an increase with the Ashiga Clan. Your reward for siding with the Queen will be the Power Blast kit.
2.2 Give the Strand to Krisk
Krisk, the daughter of the Ashiga Clan’s Queen, believes she would make a better leader. Encouraged by Crimson Dawn, who seeks a more favorable ruler, Krisk aims to usurp her mother.
By giving Krisk the Origin Strand, she will ascend as the clan’s new leader, leading to her mother’s downfall. For supporting Krisk, you will gain a new crew member, Ank Parako, along with a Power Blast Kit.
