A Starbucks patron shared on TikTok that the coffee company accused her of excessive bathroom usage and subsequently disabled her account, causing her video to go viral.
Brittany, a frequent customer of Starbucks, shared in a new TikTok video that she was locked out of her Starbucks app and lost all 300 of her stars. This was due to the chain calling her out for overusing their bathroom facilities.
“It has been brought to our attention that you have been designated as a Bathroom Superuser due to five reported bathroom infractions. We would like to remind you that restroom usage should not exceed a total of 90 minutes per visit.”

After posting a screenshot of Starbucks’s message, Brittany justified her actions by saying, “I was extremely surprised,”she started.
“I had to use the restroom multiple times, which caught me by surprise. I was so close to having an accident and had to urgently find a bathroom. Has anyone else experienced this? It was completely unexpected and overwhelming.”
Despite her Starbucks account being suspended for just 48 hours, Brittany was visibly frustrated upon learning that she had lost all 300 stars she had accumulated.
Within the Starbucks rewards system, every coffee bought earns a star, and after collecting nine, your next coffee is complimentary. This program also provides exclusive discounts and special promotions. As of now, Britanny has not disclosed if her stars have been restored to her account.
The comments section of the TikTok video has been inundated with users who share the same confusion about the message from the well-known coffee chain.
“A Starbucks barista commented, “This is not true,”while another user remarked, “I wouldn’t even admit this happened to me for money.”
