Starbucks Fans Conflicted Over Brand’s Latest “Funky” Stanley Tumbler

Despite having waited in line for previous releases, Stanley fans are expressing concern about the upcoming release of the Starbucks x Stanley summer collaboration in May.

‘Tiffanywithoutco’ shared a post on TikTok showcasing the new tumbler collaboration between Starbucks and Stanley, as revealed by a barista at the popular coffee chain.

The barista showcased the new tumbler’s metallic finish and yellow and pink color scheme in her viral TikTok. Additionally, a pink straw is included with the tumbler.

The release date for the Starbucks x Stanley summer collaboration is May 7. While previous tumbler prices reached a high of $49.99, the new summer tumbler will have a price of $59.99.

Despite the growing popularity of Stanley products following their collaboration with Target for Valentine’s Day in December 2023, fans are divided over the design of their exclusive tumbler released this summer.

While some Stanley enthusiasts are thrilled about the release, exclaiming “I’m ready!”and “That’s so adorable!”others are less enthusiastic about joining the rush for this one.

“One person commented, ‘Remember to tag me when it goes on clearance. I don’t want to wait in line again.’ Another person chimed in, ‘I’ll just head to Target the next day. If it’s still available, I’ll pick it up. If not, no big deal.’”

Starbucks’ collaboration with Stanley for the summer collection comes after the much-anticipated launch of the light blue tumbler in April. In certain instances, devoted fans even woke up at 3 AM to ensure they could get their hands on the latest release.

Despite some fans having mixed feelings about the Starbucks x Stanley summer collaboration, the ‘Stanley craze’ does not appear to be ending anytime soon. It remains to be seen if the limited edition summer tumbler will reach the same resale value as last year’s Valentine’s Day collection, which sold for over $300 on platforms such as StockX and eBay.
