Stardew Valley: Guide to Abigail’s Relationships

If you have been enchanted by Abigail’s unique charm in Stardew Valley, you are not alone. This popular game serves as a peaceful escape from the busy routine of daily life, allowing players to embrace a more tranquil and simple way of living. However, what is the point of living a cozy and quaint life in Stardew Valley if you have no one to share it with? That’s where the creepy yet charming Abigail comes in, making her the perfect companion for your farming alter-ego.

Where to Find Abigail in Stardew Valley

In Stardew Valley, every villager has their own unique life with individual interests, hobbies, likes, and dislikes. They are not simply waiting around in their homes for a potential farmer to approach them. While this adds to the immersive experience, it can also be frustrating to spend hours searching through Pelican Town for a specific person.

Abigail can be difficult to find, but she typically sleeps in and goes out in the afternoon in Stardew Valley. Here is her general schedule for each season:

In the Spring, Abigail can usually be found at the General Store, her home until approximately 1:00 PM. Afterwards, she often spends time at the bridge near the Joja Mart/Movie Theatre.

Summer: During the summer months, Abigail continues her habit of sleeping in late and then venturing off to either the train tracks or the Mountain Lake.

Fall: During the Autumn season, Abigail typically sleeps in before making her way to the Bus Stop. However, on Mondays, she chooses to visit the Beach instead.

Winter: In Stardew Valley’s Winter season, Abigail tends to sleep in and then spends time with Sebastian at the Carpenter’s Shop near the Mines.

While Abigail can usually be found in those locations during their respective seasons, she does occasionally explore other areas of the Valley. For example, on Wednesdays she may be seen at the Museum during the day and the Graveyard between 6 PM – 9 PM. On Fridays, she enjoys spending time with her friends Sebastian and Sam at the Stardrop Saloon, and on Sundays she can often be found near the Wizard’s Tower in Cindersap Forest. Additionally, she attends various festivals and even ventures to Ginger Island, so if she’s not at her usual spots, she may be at the Desert Festival or Ginger Island Resort.

Abigail’s Gift Guide

In Stardew Valley, giving gifts is considered an art. Simply giving a random item from your bag to a villager may not guarantee their appreciation. In fact, it could potentially result in a loss of friendship points if they dislike or even hate it. To prevent this, here is a comprehensive list of what Abigail loves, likes, is indifferent towards, dislikes, and strongly despises.

Abigail’s Loved Gifts

Abigail’s love for Stardew Valley extends to all of its universal favorites, such as Prismatic Shards, Rabbit’s Feet, Golden Pumpkins, Magic Rock Candy, and Pearls. However, she also has her own unique loves, including Amethyst, the Monster Compendium, Pumpkins, and indulgent treats like Banana Pudding, Blackberry Cobbler, Chocolate Cake, Spicy Eel, and even the questionable Pufferfish – which is technically more of a fish and less of a snack.

Abigail’s Favorite Presents

If you do not possess any of the aforementioned gifts, you can still make Abigail happy by giving her any of the universal likes, as well as items such as Quartz, the Bone Flute, Ancient Sword, Combat Quarterly, and the Basilisk Paw Trinket.

Abigail’s Neutral Gifts

Abigail doesn’t particularly dislike any of these gifts, but she also isn’t overly excited about them. She generally appreciates all of the neutral gifts that are universally accepted, with the exception of the Monster Compendium and the Combat Quarterly. Additionally, she has a neutral response towards various mushrooms such as Chanterelles, Common Mushrooms, Magma Caps, Morels, and Purple Mushrooms. She is also content with receiving Milk, Daffodils, Dandelions, Hazelnuts, Ginger, Snow Yams, Winter Roots, and Leeks.

Abigail’s Disliked Gifts

When choosing a gift for Abigail, it is best to avoid most of the universally disliked items. However, there are a few exceptions, such as the Ancient Sword, Basilisk Paw, Bone Flute, Pufferfish, and Clay. Additionally, Abigail has some more unique dislikes, including Eggs, Fruit that does not grow on trees, most vegetables, Wild Horseradish, and Sugar.

Abigail’s Hated Gifts

Giving a villager a gift they dislike will result in a decrease of 40 friendship points. To avoid losing any of your valuable friendship points with Abigail, refrain from giving her gifts that are universally disliked, such as Clay or Holly.

If you have completed the Community Center and the Missing Bundle in order to unlock the Movie Theatre, you now have a fantastic opportunity to deepen your friendships with the residents of Pelican Town. However, just like when giving gifts, it is important to choose the right movie to take someone to. Selecting a movie that they dislike will result in a loss of friendship points. For example, if you plan on taking Abigail on a date to the movies, consider taking her to see Mysterium or It Howls in the Rain, as those are her favorite films. On the other hand, it would be best to avoid Zuzu City Express and The Miracle at Coldstar Ranch. For an even greater chance of earning friendship points from your date,

Abigail’s Two Heart Event

Once you have attained two hearts of friendship with Abigail and you happen to visit Pierre’s General Store while she is present, her two heart cutscene will be activated. It’s important to note that this cutscene will not take place on Saturdays. To conclude the cutscene, assist her in winning the match. It’s worth noting that there are no dialogue options available in this scene, but Abigail will still appreciate your help even if you are unable to win.

Abigail’s Four Heart Event

To initiate Abigail’s four heart event, simply visit the Mountain Lake between 12 pm and 7 pm on a rainy day in any season except Winter. Abigail’s Eight Heart Event

Abigail’s eighth heart event is initiated by a letter, which you will receive in the mail from her, inviting you to visit her between 8 pm and 10 pm. During this visit, she will invite you to her room to play with her Ouija Board. As the spirits (or Abigail herself) reveal her true feelings for you, she will start to panic and eventually ask you to leave her house.

Abigail’s Ten Heart Event

Once you have gifted Abigail with the Mermaid’s Pendant and officially entered a relationship with her, you can activate her ten heart cutscene by going to the Mine or Quarry Mine between 5 pm and 12 am. Her hard work in sword training has clearly paid off, as she now feels confident enough to venture into the Mines on her own. However, as she approaches the entrance, a swarm of bats suddenly emerges, causing her to retreat to the safety of a nearby corner. You will have five dialogue options to choose from in order to comfort her.

  • “You’re crying like a little baby. Stop.” – -50 Friendship Points.

If you decide to marry Abigail, you can trigger her fourteen heart event by visiting the Backwoods between 6:10 am and 5 pm. The Backwoods is located north of your farm and can be accessed by a small road.

While exploring the Backwoods, you suddenly come face to face with a vicious monster. However, Abigail comes to your rescue and defeats the creature. Despite having multiple dialogue options to choose from, none of them will impact your friendship with Abigail. You have the following choices to respond to her heroic actions.

  • “It’s sad, but there was no other option.”
  • “Monsters don’t deserve our sympathy!”
  • ” It’s a harsh world, kid.”
