“We are confident that our capacity to create innovative [intellectual properties] that do not rely on preexisting ones will allow us to achieve sustainable growth, setting us apart from other game companies bound to their current [intellectual properties].”

SHIFT-UP has hinted at the potential for DLC and collaborations with other IPs, giving even more reason for Stellar Blade fans to be thrilled.

According to the statement, Stellar Blade has future plans to incorporate additional gameplay elements such as downloadable content releases, a PC version, and collaborations with new intellectual properties.

It is worth noting that the filing also mentions titles such as God of War and Final Fantasy, citing them as examples of franchises that have successfully sustained their popularity by consistently releasing top-notch sequels and establishing a long-term revenue source. This serves as a compelling reason for SHIFT-UP to consider developing a sequel and establishing its own beloved series.

SHIFT-UP is making big plans for Stellar Blade.

SHIFT-UP’s highly anticipated new IP, Project Witches, is set to include crossplay capabilities between PC, consoles, and mobile devices. The official filing states that Witches will be a cutting-edge subculture intellectual property that will surpass the success of Goddess of Victory: NIKKE.

SHIFT-UP aims to establish itself as a leading player in the gaming industry with the release of Witches, an anime-style, AAA action RPG set in an urban, sci-fi world. This original IP is part of the company’s ongoing plans to solidify its position as a major gaming powerhouse, competing with other top players in the market.

The success of Stellar Blade has been evident among gamers, as it claimed the top spot in PlayStation’s Players’ Choice Poll for April 2024. It has also been recognized as a potential contender for Game of the Year, making a strong debut for the studio’s first AAA game.
