Stellar Blade Director Warns of “Dramatically” Increased Difficulty When Wearing NSFW Suit

It is common knowledge that Stellar Blade offers a plethora of content that could potentially be deemed inappropriate, including the Skin Suit for Eve. However, recent developments suggest that there may be a valid rationale for players to dress the protagonist in a more modest attire: the game’s level of difficulty.

It is ultimately up to the player to decide whether or not they want to utilize the Skin Suit in Stellar Blade. However, there is a clear disadvantage to doing so. In an interview with Famitsu, Director Hyung-Tae Kim stated that the Skin Suit does not provide any defensive capabilities and, as a result, players may sustain significant damage and potentially die quicker. Therefore, it is highly recommended to wear clothing instead in order to avoid a significant increase in gameplay difficulty.

In Stellar Blade, the Skin Suit lacks the deflective shields typically found on suits. This makes Eve much more susceptible to damage while wearing it. The reason for the absence of the deflective shield has also been provided.

The Skin Suit is an additional layer of skin-like material that fits tightly on Eve’s body. While it still can be enabled by players, it offers lower protection as she fights against various enemies. However, using this suit comes with a downside, as it may make it more challenging to defeat certain enemies. Therefore, it could be more practical for players to choose an option with higher protection.

Kim mentioned that there is a possibility of a sequel for Stellar Blade in the future, depending on the success of its initial release. The game, which is a PS5 exclusive, will be globally released on April 26. A free demo is currently available for players to try out, and pre-orders can be made on the PlayStation Store.
