Stellar Crown Blasted as Absurdly Boring by Frustrated Pokemon Collectors

Despite the fact that Stellar Crown will not be released until September 13, there are already some Pokemon TCG fans who are expressing frustration with the upcoming expansion set.

The response to the card reveals for Stellar Crown has been somewhat divided. While certain cards have been praised for their strength, others have been criticized for their appearance. On the internet, a few fans have already dismissed the entire set.

A fan of Pokemon TCG shared a picture of the upcoming Stellar Crown Booster Bundle and asked the community if they were looking forward to its release on September 13. As expected, the reactions were varied, but a significant portion of the community expressed their frustrations.

At Worlds 2024, two returning styles were announced: Owner’s Pokemon and Team Rocket. However, one player commented, “While the set may feel underwhelming compared to others, I am still excited for the 2025 sets.”

“Another individual expressed, “I have a strong dislike for the artwork in Tera. It appears to be overly bright and reminiscent of unicorn vomit. I prefer to purchase Bulbasaur and Squirtle separately and be finished with it.”

Some shared the same sentiment, as one individual expressed, “The Tera/crystal/hat Pokemon cards are incredibly dull and even the ex cards are becoming indistinguishable.”

The community has been split on the Stellar Tera-type artwork. Although Stellar Pokemon have attracted attention for their competitive abilities, the bright designs and rainbow borders have turned off certain members of the player base.

Despite the criticism, there were still enthusiastic players eagerly anticipating Stellar Crown. One collector expressed their excitement, stating, “I’m impressed by some of the artwork, although my wallet is definitely feeling the pain lol.”

One person simply commented, “I think it looks cool and I’m even more thrilled because I intentionally skipped Shrouded Fable since I’m not a fan of it.”

Despite receiving mixed reactions from the community, Shrouded Fable was still able to gain a strong following due to its competitive and valuable cards, despite its infamously low pull rates.

Regardless of your level of enthusiasm for Stellar Crown, it is crucial to pay attention to the release of Stellar Tera-type cards. These cards have the potential to significantly impact the meta and may also become highly sought-after collector’s items.
