Steps to Hide and Make Reposts Private on TikTok

While undoing an accidental repost is straightforward, some TikTok users might be unaware of how to hide their reposts entirely, helping them support creators while maintaining privacy.

How to Hide Reposts on TikTok

Currently, there is no feature to hide all your reposts from followers. However, you can keep them private from non-followers by setting your account to private. Here’s how to do this:

Go to your profile and click on the three horizontal lines.
Select Settings and privacy then tap Privacy.
Toggle the Private account option on, which will make your TikTok account private and hidden from non-followers.

If you want to restrict TikTok reposts from a specific follower, blocking them is your only option. This prevents them from interacting with any of your content, viewing your profile, or messaging you.

Many users have expressed the desire for TikTok to introduce a feature that allows reposts to be made private. However, as of 2024, this functionality remains unavailable.
