STG44 and Static-HV Continue to Dominate Warzone Despite Season 5 Reloaded Nerfs

Despite receiving nerfs in the Season 5 Reloaded update, the STG44 and Static-HV are still considered essential weapons to use.

As a component of the Season 5 Reloaded update, Raven Software reduced the STG44’s maximum damage range from 36 to 32 meters.

However, the Static-HV was significantly impacted. Despite receiving nerfs to its damage range and modifier multiplier, it was expected to no longer be a viable option. However, the data presents a different narrative.

After the mid-season update, the SOA Subverter, STG44, Pulemyot 762, and RAAL MG single fire JAK Protean conversion kit have emerged as the top choices in Warzone’s long-range meta.

Thanks to data from TrueGameData, we were able to analyze the time-to-kill speeds of all the popular long-range weapons. While the Pulemyot 762 and RAAL MG are both highly effective at taking down enemies, their sluggish mobility and lengthy reload times make them less desirable options.

The most recent update has resulted in a five-meter increase to the max damage range of the SOA Subverter. Despite this, the STG44 remains the top choice due to its superior performance at most ranges, excellent mobility, and recoil control.

The Lachmann Shroud boasts the shortest time-to-kill among all close-range meta weapons, but this statistic can be misleading as its damage drastically decreases beyond a 10-meter range. Additionally, its limited mobility hinders its overall effectiveness.

Despite this, the Static-HV and Superi remain dominant with their impressive fire rate and maneuverability. While some may argue for the FJX Horus and Striker to take the lead, they fall just short of the top two options.

As players become more accustomed to the frequent weapon changes in the upcoming weeks, the meta will continue to shift. However, according to the data, it is highly likely that players will continue to rely on the same guns they have been using in the first half of the season.
