“Strange” Joker 2 clip with Lady Gaga’s Harley Quinn splits fans

Fans have been eagerly awaiting their first glimpse of the highly anticipated Joker 2, but the recently released clip has left everyone uncertain about what to expect from the film.

The premiere screening of Joker: Folie a Deux is scheduled for September 4 at the Venice International Film Festival, which is less than a month before its theatrical release. This indicates that the marketing campaign has already begun, including the eerie 24-hour livestream that preceded the release of the latest trailer.

The first official clip of the film has been released on the Internet in anticipation of its upcoming release. The clip, originally unveiled in a press release for VIFF, features a conversation between Lady Gaga’s “Lee”Quinzel and Joaquin Phoenix’s Arthur Fleck.

The scene is rather subdued, as Lee quietly recounts the ending of Joker while the two of them try to sing a song before being quieted by a guard.

The recently released Joker 2 clip has received a varied response from fans. Some are uncertain about the overall tone of the film, particularly after being introduced to Gaga’s portrayal of Quinzel.

On social media, one fan expressed confusion over the strange scene where Gaga’s character is seen conversing with a dangerous inmate. Meanwhile, some are drawing comparisons between Gaga’s subdued performance and the eerie atmosphere of a haunted house film.

Upon viewing the short clip, it is clear that the most devoted fans are enamored with it and some are attempting to analyze its significance. A significant number of viewers still hold the belief that, similar to Zazie Beetz’s character Sophie in the initial film, Harley Quinn is merely a figment of Arthur’s imagination and is not a real person.

Joker: Folie a Deux takes place two years after the events of 2019’s Joker, with Arthur Fleck now residing in Arkham Hospital as a result of inadvertently becoming a symbol for the oppressed citizens of Gotham.

Despite the film’s classification as a jukebox musical, it includes a mix of licensed and original songs. However, the marketing for the film seems to be downplaying its musical elements at the moment.

During the wait for Joker 2’s release in October, discover where you can stream all of the live-action Batman films, the event of Joker’s death in the comics, and updates on The Batman 2’s release. Additionally, there are plenty of other fantastic movies available to stream this month.
