Homo Jaluzo employs a range of formidable attacks during the battle. Its most threatening moves are preceded by a charge-up phase, offering a one-turn warning. The primary attack sequence includes the deadly Watchful Gaze followed by the explosive Jumping Playtime, which can inflict significant damage on all party members.

When Homo Jaluzo executes Watchful Gaze, it is essential to implement the “Guard” action for every character. Utilizing Guard consumes your turn but is vital for maintaining your team’s health at over 100 HP. If you’re equipped with the latest armor from the shop, you may require a bit more HP. Therefore, having a Healer class in your team is indispensable.

Employing Medi for party-wide healing is crucial to keep everyone sustained. It becomes increasingly difficult to maintain health if you are also taking considerable damage from regular assaults. Remember, this boss is at level 30, so being underleveled will complicate the battle further.

During its turns, Homo Jaluzo often uses Eager Bite, dealing moderate piercing damage to a single party member, and may also cast Stare and Deafening Din to inflict Daze or reduce your defenses, respectively.

Occasionally, Homo Jaluzo may target one player with Eager Bite repeatedly, which can be quite unfortunate. If this coincides with a time when your party’s defenses are lowered, you risk losing a team member. Nevertheless, as long as your party is wearing the best armor available, you should manage well unless they begin the battle with low health.

The key is to consistently use Medi, even if only two team members require healing, ensuring that your party remains in top shape and reducing the reliance on luck. However, if you haven’t rested before the confrontation and your party’s MP is running low, you’ll need to be more judicious with your resources or consider using Magla Pills or other MP-restoring items before the encounter. Ideally, aim for each member to have around 120-150 MP.

Homo Jaluzo Combat Strategies | Offensive Tactics

In terms of offense, Homo Jaluzo possesses no particular weaknesses, nor does it have any resistances. During the battle, you can choose to attack Homo Jaluzo directly or target one of its two eyeballs. While each eye is resistant to slashing attacks, they are vulnerable to piercing damage. Your team composition should ideally include:

  • Piercing damage class (e.g., Gunner)
  • Healer
  • Flexible class (capable of both healing and dealing damage)
  • Any class with a skill for “extreme X damage to one target”

This party formation will allow you to effectively balance healing and offensive capabilities. You can choose between two strategies: either focusing solely on the boss or systematically eliminating the eyes to diminish its attack capabilities.

The eyes are instrumental for the boss to execute attacks like Focused Aim and Watchful Gaze, both of which can lead to catastrophic consequences. Focused Aim mirrors Watchful Gaze but targets one player instead of the entire party, making it imperative to use Guard and maintain that particular member’s health.

Phase 3 – Homo Jaluzo at 10-20% Health

Your strategy should focus on employing synthesis skills that deliver high damage while ensuring your team remains healthy. If your party’s health begins to falter after a hit from Joyful Playtime, swiftly use Medi.

Once Homo Jaluzo’s health dips to around 10-20%, its mother will employ Mother’s Love, restoring 1,000 HP to each eye and 2,440 HP to the boss. This occurs during a complete enemy turn, which is significant, especially if your MP is getting low.

Continue utilizing your established strategy to inflict damage on the boss while coordinating an area-of-effect heal with your healer. If you’re targeting the eyes, ensure your team incorporates piercing damage to exploit their weakness effectively.
